Full description

This tour starts from Kotor at around 9:00 AM with pickup possible from Budva, Tivat, and Herceg Novi. After a short drive, be amazed by the old road constructed in 1879 by Austro-Hungarians to connect Kotor and Cetinje, the old royal capital.

It has 25 curves and there will be several stops for you to take photos and enjoy the beauty of Boka Bay. Enjoy breakfast in Njegusi village, best known as the birthplace of the Petrović dynasty, which ruled Montenegro from 1696 to 1918.

The mausoleum sits at the top of a climb of 461 steps. The most impressive part of the mausoleum is the chapel which has 6 sides, and the beautiful ceiling covered with over 200,000 gilded tiles creating a fascinating mosaic.  Then, enjoy a 1-hour walking tour through Cetinje, visiting its main sights, such as Cetinje Monastery where several relics are kept including the remains of St. Peter of Cetinje, particles of the True Cross, and the Icon of the Philermos Mother of God along with many more.

Discover museums, the royal theater, historic foreign embassies, and Vlaska Church, built in 1450, with its fence made out of barrels of captured enemy rifles. The next stop is River Crnojevica, a small historical town in Central Montenegro on the ancient trading route through the country. It is worth visiting for both the lake and the old architecture left over from the trader days.

Your lunch break will be here and don't hesitate to try the local fish. Here, take a 1-hour boat ride along the river. Afterward, visit Sveti Stefan before returning to Kotor.

The tour was good. Our guide Luca was great explaining the history of Montenegro and all other details of history of Tribe. He tried to show us a lot of places within that 10 hours of ride. The tour is about the mountain ane lake. The minivan will take people up in the mountains and you get a lot of chances to enjoy the excellent view and take photos. We went into a boat trip too which was great. The lunch was really good and reasonable price.

Overall it was v good tour. Got to see the countryside. Beautiful country. Guide is very knowledgeable and very friendly. He was accommodating to everyone. Just breakfast was waist of money. Paid 5 Euro for cheese, toast and pieces of tomato. Boat ride was not necessary. There was nothing new of Macedonia there.

I am not one for yours most of the time, but this trip is spectacular, and you should absolutely do it. This trip is perfect if you want to get into the mountains but do not want to risk driving on the wild roads. Not only is this day jam packed with awe-inspiring sites and good food, but I also learned a great deal about Montenegro from our knowledgeable and fun guide. My legs are sore today from climbing all those steps to the Mausoleum, but I am so glad I did it. You will be, too! Really. Just book it.
