Loved the semi-submarine! I was there with my two kids (8y & 5y) and we were the only ones on board so we actually got the submarine to ourselves. The captain was very knowledgeable and friendly and also let the kids steer the boat. We only saw a few fish that went by really fast but that was more than we expected - I had read reviews beforehand and knew it's not common to see them. We were very happy with this tour and would recommend it especially to kids.

Full description

Board the semi-sub for panoramic views of the Bay of Kotor and the Old Town of Kotor from the deck of a specially outfitted marine vessel. This will certainly be like no other tour on your vacation.

While on the water you will marvel at the small fisherman villages, medieval churches, 17th-century palaces, sheer cliffs, and much more dotting the serpentine coastline. Venture below the deck to appreciate a different view of Kotor thanks to the underwater cabin featuring 4 big, bullet-proof glass windows on both sides. Keep your eyes wide open for unexpected marine life swimming alongside you and your companions.

During the excursion, you'll receive chilled water and have a tent available on the deck to shield you from the sun. This boat ride is perfect for families and those who have limited time but want to get a brief introduction to the Bay of Kotor.

Meeting point

Once you leave the ship and go through security, go left. When you reach the small bridge, turn left again towards the park. You'll see an information desk by the sea. Our skipper and our friend Sara will be there to welcome you. Please be at the meeting spot at least 30 minutes early. If you miss the tour, you can join the next available slot as agreed with the operator. If you’re arriving by car, we recommend allowing extra time for your journey. Heavy traffic is expected around the park — which is also your tour’s starting point — along with delays caused by ongoing roadworks on the main road.

We spent 20min on the top of the sub, learning a bit about the area and going out into the bay a little bit. 20 minutes was spent down below in the sub. Then the 20min trip back to the dock, on top of the sub. There really wasn’t much to see down below. Some sea grass, and a couple small fish. But the guide was kind, and he let us pilot the boat a bit, which my son loved. It was a fun way to spend an hour.
