Kotor: Blue Cave Private Boat Tour

1. Kotor: Blue Cave Private Boat Tour

This tour includes cruising around the Bay of Kotor, in which you will enjoy panoramic views of the fishing villages, churches, and many more historical monuments. Your first stop is at an islet in the middle of Boka Bay known as "Our Lady of the Rocks". Legend says that this artificial island was created from stones local fishermen put upon a specific rock where shipwrecked crewmen found the icon of Madonna and Child. The church there was built in her honor. The interior of this 15th century church features a marble altar holding an icon of Our Lady of the Rocks made by Lovro Dobric (famous Balkan painter), as well as 68 paintings by Tripo Kokolja, including the famous The Death of the Virgin. Your Kotor Bay tour continues with a cruise to Tivat Bay where you will see an exclusive marina for mega yachts — Porto Montenegro. Continue to Herceg Novi Bay with its Byzantine and oriental architectural styles, and then onto island Mamula. You will also visit an ex-submarine military base. Your next stop is reserved for taking a refreshing swim in the mesmerizing Blue Cave, which can only be accessed by boat. The boat is equipped with soft and comfortable seat cushions, as well as refreshing cold drinks.

Montenegro:Kotor, Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks Private Tour

2. Montenegro:Kotor, Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks Private Tour

Explore 2 of the cultural icons of Montenegro's coast on a tour of Perast and Kotor. Depart from Kotor, Budva or Tivat and enjoy a drive towards the small, man-made islands near Perast. Discover a sophisticated urban complex of a great number of public buildings, especially along the waterfront, despite its diminutive size. Then, take the boat to Our Lady of the Rocks and explore the most famous island in Montenegro. According to legend, the island was created over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding an icon of the Madonna and Child on July 22, 1452.  Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the bay and, over time, the island gradually emerged from the water. The custom of throwing rocks into the sea is alive today. Get the chance to visit the church and museums of Our Lady of the Rocks. Then, return to Perast for some free time to soak up the charming atmosphere of the quietest town in Boka Bay. Proceed back to Kotor to investigate the tremendously rich history of the town on a walking tour with a professional guide. Journey through the history of the former inhabitants, including the Ottomans, Venetians and Christians.

What people are saying about Kotor

Excellent activity. Staff very friendly and well organised. We had a 2 year old with us, and while maybe slightly bumpy for him he enjoyed it a lot and our captain (Nicola) even looked after the wee one while we went for a swim at the blue cave. Which was definitely the highlight of the tour. Would recommend again.

Fantastic tour, a must in Kotor

We had a fantastic boat tour, even overrun, we drove into an old UBOOT bunker, into the blue groats and it was great despite the waves. Fantastically beautiful, very nice travel guide, even the children should be at the wheel. We were there about 2 hours earlier, should go straight away ... a must for Kotor

You plug your playlist on boat Bluetooth sound system, and enjoy a wonderful trip through the places to see. On top of that you will swim in exclusive places! This 2 hours tour is mandatory to fully enjoy Montenegro)
