Start our day early in morning in Tirana, towards Kosovo. On the way we can do a stop for a coffee/cold drink at a cafe. First we will visit the capital of Kosovo, Pristina. We will visit the Newborn monument, symbol of the independence and being a young new country. We will walk towards the main boulevard in the capital. Delve into the city’s past at the Ethnological Museum and learn about its diverse heritage. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the architectural wonder of the Mother Teresa Cathedral and Striking National Library. After lunch we head to Prizren, considered as the cultural capital of Kosovo, mixing its rich history, incredible nature and gastronomic delights. The river flows through the heart of the old town and under the many bridges that crisscross the city. Filigree artisanal techniques for precious metals are Prizren’s joy and pride. The view from the fortress on the hill above the town offers a great panorama of this astonishing town. . Upon completion, we will head back to Tirana to give an end to our tour!

This tour starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Skopje, traveling to Prishtina where your local guide will be waiting for you. First, visit Monastery Gracanica, and then arrive in Pristina where you will start a tour of Pristina. Your first stop in will be the Kosova National Library, an example of modern architectural design. Then make your way to the open air archaeological park with artifacts from the Neolithic period and Kosova Museum built by Austrians for the Turkish army in 1898, which has an extensive collection of archaeological and ethnological artifacts including the Neolithic Goddess on a Throne terracotta. Head to Çarshi Mosque, the oldest building in Pristina constructed in the 15th-century by the Turkish Sultan Bajazit. Afterwards, head to the Academy Building, a 19th-century Ottoman konak style private houses. Visit the Fatih Mosque or Imperial Mosque built in 1461 under the Turkish Sultan Mehmed II Fatih and the  Great Hammam – bath complex built in 1470 graced with 15 domes with small holes to let light stream in. Make your way to the Ethnographic Museum. The Emin Gjiku Complex is a extremely well-preserved building from 18th-century and it’s the only original building left in old bazaar area. Departing from Tirana, travel north to cross the border into the Stone Age city of Pristina. Visit and tour a medieval Orthodox monastery before continuing to the architectural marvel of the National Library in Pristina, home of 15th-century material literature. In Pristina, a city tour will also explore 14th-century mosques. Leaving Pristina we will head toward Prizren, sometimes called the cultural capital of Kosovo. The city played a major role in Albanian history and politics of the 19th century. Continue to Prizren, where the UNESCO World Heritage Church of Our Lady Ljevis resides. Visit the House of the Prizren League, one of the most important buildings of the 19th century in Albanian history. End the day with a relaxing journey back to Tirana.

Start with a pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Sofia at 8:00 AM. Travel for approximately 3.5 hours to the first destination of the two-day excursion, the city of Skopje, which is the capital of North Macedonia. During the drive, learn the political history of the region.  Upon arrival in Skopje, enjoy a 2-hour city tour with a Macedonian guide. Explore both the old and the new parts of the city, seeing its major landmarks. After the walking tour, enjoy some free time (discuss this with your guide) during which you will have the chance to rest and taste the local cuisine. Afterward, continue the journey to Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, which will take approximately 2 hours. When you reach Pristina enjoy some free time to explore the highlights of the city after which you will travel to the cultural capital of the country, Prizen. Stay overnight in a wonderful hotel in the heart of the city.  On the second day, have breakfast in the hotel followed by a walking tour of Prizen at 8:30 AM. Explore the narrow cobblestone streets and authentic Ottoman buildings. Visit Mehmet Pasha Hamam, the 15th-century stone bridge and the fortress situated high above the city. From here, get a fantastic view of the whole city. This is the last site that we will visit in Prizren. Then we will go back to Skopje (which will take approx. 2.5 hours drive) where we will have some time to relax and have lunch. At 15:00 we will head back to Sofia, where you will be dropped off at the location you want.

Depart from your Tirana hotel in the morning with an air-conditioned vehicle, and head towards northeast Albania. Travel from Tirana, Albania along the newly built highway that connects Albania with Kosovo. What once took almost a whole day to drive through, now in just three hours offers vivid mountainous scenery worth capturing on video. Stop for a quick coffee by the artificial Kukës Lake to take in its tranquility and the legend of its formation during Albania's dark communist period. Cross the border and head to Kosovo's best attraction - the unique town of Prizren with its curvy cobblestone paths - only 20-minutes drive from the Albanian-Kosovo border. Witness a well-preserved reminder of the Ottoman times, the multi-ethnic and multilingual Prizren is situated at the foot of its fortress, adorned with artisan shops along the Lumbardhi river that runs through the heart of this iconic city. Briefly visit the reconstructed Albanian Prizren League - the poignant historic site sadly destroyed during the Kosovo war. Walk by the riverbed and sight-see the Old Town, tasting the local 'byrek' offered again by your guide and drink fresh water from the çesma water fountain, a necessary ritual if you want to return again in Prizren.  Rich in places of worship, Prizren is an example of religious diversity and has a mosque built by the famous Ottoman architect Sinani. Visit the Sinan Pasha Mosque, and the Serbian "Sveti Spas" Orthodox Church. Depending on your desire and physical ability, there's the option to go up the fortress that oversees the city, prior to heading to the capital city of Prishtina - a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, smells and home to many cultural landmarks. Walk Prishtina's main boulevard and experience the perpetual motion that Prishtina is, along with its modern cafes and restaurants. Visit what's considered one of the 'most beautiful ugly buildings' worldwide: The National Library of Kosovo - an example of 'brutal architecture', the renowned NewBorn sculpture that changes with each independence anniversary, and walk by the socialist built Boro Ramiz Palace of Sports. Head back to the Albanian border in the late afternoon and you will be dropped off in the hotel you were picked up from.

An amazing day trip to Kosovo, visiting Pristina and Prizren, like the other reviews it's a long day, but you don't feel it. The driver/guide was excellent. Drove well and took good care. He is very cool and accommodating and doesn't push on time. Kosovo is a must see day trip from Tirana, Albania and would highly recommend.

The tour to Kosovo it should be a must!!! Very interesting place, Pristina is unusual city! Prizren - history place.. Tasty food and drinks.. We were enjoying every minutes over there.. The tour guide Elena one of the best! Do not miss a chance to explore new place!!!

Mati was a very good guide.. He took lot of timez was patiënt, and gave us all space needed to discover the different hotspots. He knows to twll lot stories about the trip and Kosovo. Good driver. We had traditional lunch meal and that was a very good choice.

Damir is a fantastic guide, he explains everything very well and you can tell he is passionate and loves it. He gave us mini lessons on history, lots of interesting facts and made the day very enjoyable. We would definitely do it again! 100% recommended.

Kledio was a great guide and both Prishtina and Prizren were very unique places. Take Kledio up on his advice to spend more time in Prizren and you will not regret it.
