This was much better value than expected. The virtual reality gives insights into how the site would have looked, with the colossus statue of Nero etc. Silvia and her team were great giving operating advice then you still got your skip the line tickets. Whole thing was over 4 hours for us and you could have easily made it longer. Wouldn’t have missed it for anything

Virtual reality is particularly interesting for children, even more so if they are visiting the coliseum for the first time. For adults it's a bit basic. It's cute, but I wouldn't do it again. After the virtual reality session, we enter the coliseum, but this part is without a guide. It would be more interesting to take a guided tour. The guides were very friendly. The meeting point was very difficult because there are dozens of groups and finding this one was not easy. It was worth it to be there half an hour in advance.

With the RV, we realize more the size of things and the immensity of the site. I recommend. On the other hand, beware of those who are not used to it: they sit us down and explain to us how VR works. It lasts about 1 hour (3 games) and when you're not used to it, nausea sets in. But even with, I appreciated, I would have regretted not having done so. We then join a group for the return to the Colosseum and it's a walk for an hour as we want. Appointment 1 hour later to take us to the Roman forum and there, the same, make us return and we leave when we want. In short, good to visit and see what you want but suddenly, no guide with us finally.
