Excellent half day tour at Samui Ethical Elephant Sanctuary. Please choose your elephant experience carefully in Thailand. This is an ethical sanctuary. Focus on rehabilitation and you will learn about the abuse stories of the elephants, feed them, get close and watch them interact. It’s an amazing experience. All the money helps to pay for the food, medication and habitat for the elephants and also allows them to rescue the remaining 80+ elephants on Samui currently used for rides or logging. The guide was so informative and this was a highlight of our trip. Lunch was also a delicious bonus. Please do not support elephant experiences that allow rides or swimming with elephants. Please do support this wonderful experience trying to make a difference for the elephants. 100% recommend.
We loved our experience at the Bo Phut Elephant sanctuary! The guides were very nice and knowledgeable. The elephants were so sweet and let us feed them. It was such an amazing experience, one my husband and I will never forget!

Watch the rescued elephants play in the mud and bathe in the ponds by themselves and you will learn from our experienced tour guide about the elephants. This program is suitable for all ages and please note that the activities do not offer bathing and mud spa with the elephants.
You will see them splash, roll around, submerge, and cover themselves in mud and having a good time.

Know before you go
- Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, change of clothes, cap or a wide-brimmed hat to protect from the sun
- Closed-toe shoes or trainers for drier weather are recommended
- Large golf-sized umbrellas are provided to use for sun protection as well as the rain
- In case of rain, rain boots will be provided as it can be muddy, so please bring a pair of socks
