The trip by bus to the backwaters was very interesting, we saw a lot of the city. The guide organized everything very well and explained us everything well. Very impressive trip with a lovely guide with very good English. The lunch together on the houseboat was great and tasted fine. Great experience, thanks.

Excellent Tour!

Prior to the tour, communication with Carnival Tours was fantastic. Our cruise ship changed docking times and this was accommodated by the company without any difficulty. We were met by our guide at the cruise terminal and shown to our small group minibus. Our guide was friendly and very informative. The tour was an amazing opportunity to see local culture both on the journey to the backwaters and onboard the houseboat. The backwaters are beautiful and picturesque. The typical Keralan meal was delicious and plentiful. Due to change of times of our ship we didn’t get off the bus at Fort Kochi but still got to have a quick look at the Chinese fishing nets. Also did a quick souvenir stop. Overall an amazing experience and would highly recommend.

Recommended for cruise shore excursions.

As it was a tour run by a major local travel agency, it was safe. A large number of staff are waiting at the port according to the arrival time of the ship, so you can get on the bus without any hesitation. There is no anxiety during the tour because it seems that the schedule is adjusted according to the departure time on the return. It is much cheaper than the Shore Eecursion of the ship, and it runs in small groups, so there is less stress. This tour includes a visit to the Chinese fishing net, but when you return from the backwater it is an evening so you will only see the fliers from the bus because you are not fishing. Instead, stop by a souvenir shop that is not on the schedule. Remember that Chinese fishing nets have a shutter chance only from the cruise ship when entering or leaving the port.
