What people are saying about Kochi

Excellent introduction to Cochin and Kerala

Picked up from ship (Inside Port) in groups of 12 to a minibus wit A/C. Guide very informative from the start described trip, History and landmarks + local driving habits (all horns accelerator but no road rage!). Each Coach group placed in own Houseboat with a crew of 4 (Inc. cook) + Guide. Driven through very picteresque area of backwaters and fed a freshly cooked delicious banquet for want of a better word. Whole trip was very enjoyable we were shown all the sights promised - the Peaceful boat trip in great contrast to (to us) the hair raising drive there and back though our driver was very good and eventually we arrived safely back at the port. An excellent day out we would recommend to everyone.

Really nice trip, but I was ill the next day...

The trip was very well organised and took in some beautiful sections of the backwaters. It's a shame that the journey to and from the start point is quite bumpy and through heavy traffic, but that can't be helped. I particularly enjoyed the morning, during which we cruised on some very small canals. The seats on the boat are not particularly comfortable though, so you can't properly relax. Lunch was very tasty. However, I was ill for a couple of days after with stomach problems - I can only really put this down to the lunch provided or due to drinking bottled water out of the glasses provided at lunch, which presumably are washed in the backwaters.

Amazing, perfectly organized Tour with lovely Guide!!

We really enjoyed our Tour with our Guide Jude!! Perfect local knowledge, a lot of interesting story’s all transported in perfect English! The tour is organized by a local Agency CARNIVALTOURS, they are super friendly and professional! The Boss Peter and his family are welcoming you directly on the pier after immigration tents! If you have the time for this tour it‘s a MUST as you see the countryside with the nice water streets and the unbelievable vegetation and fruits like f.e. Red bananas, pineapple. Jackfruit, coconuts etc. there are only 500 Kinds of Mangos... Was a lovely day!!!

Scenic, slow-paced, relaxing and informative

The tour was indeed 7 hours long! The tour on the waters is very slow, quiet and relaxing. There's not a whole lot to see except enjoy the water and surrounding birds/people/forestry. Lunch was simple, vegetarian but tasty. After lunch we hopped into a smaller boat and paddled down some smaller canals. Ended with a small, but interesting spice tour and a paddle home. Would only recommend if you're OK with having a slow-paced experience.

Exceptionally good tour and great value for money.

The tour was very well organised and dedicated to cruise ship passengers with collection from the port. The drive to the backwaters (approx 90 minutes) was enjoyable with lots of information from the guide. The houseboat ride along the backwaters provided stunning scenery, was very relaxing and the the on board lunch freshly prepared by the chef was great too!
