Our guide was lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable! We had a fantastic time, enjoyed the slow ride along the river and canals, getting to see some of the wildlife/birds in the area. Lunch was delicious, honestly could not recommend this tour more
The journey to the activity was about an hour and our driver was chatty and friendly so the time passed quickly. The boat was great, really authentic, seated 12 people but we were just 9 so a great intimate experience. Since it’s non motorized you spend a decent amount of time in the backwaters including some narrow canals with the guide providing lots of interesting information. She really did know her stuff! There’s quite a bit of wildlife too… birds, dragon flies, fish and then also the locals going about their daily life catching mussels or simply rowing down the backwater to their next destination. The visit to the village to see the coconut crafts was really interesting and the lady was full of smiles demonstrating her hard work whilst our guide narrated and gave us in-depth explanations. Then upon returning back to where we started, we had an amazing traditional lunch of Sadhya, various Indian dishes served on a banana leaf. What a great end to a great day!
