Full description

Welcome aboard the comfortable and exclusive ship La Paloma for a cruise in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site. On no other stretch of the Rhine are the castles and palaces so beautifully strung together. On board the La Paloma, you can relax and enjoy the view.

Start in Koblenz and first sail a short distance down the Rhine with a view of the Rhine in front of Koblenz, the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, and the famous "Deutsche Eck" (German Corner). At the mouth of the Moselle, the ship turns around and makes its way up the Rhine to Braubach to Marksburg Castle. The cruise takes you past the Electoral Palace of Koblenz (Kufürstliches Schloss Koblenz), the Koblenz Brewery, Lahneck Castle, Stolzenfels Castle and the Königsstuhl in Rhens. In Braubach (castle Marksburg) the ship turns around and sails back to Koblenz.

It’s a refreshing ride along the Rhine in a hot summer day. Staff are friendly. One thing they can improve on are the speakers on the boat, there should be more speakers outside cause you barely hear the guide’s voice especially when there are other tourists that are talking to each other.

Everything was very nice. The only two things I would recommend is turn the volume up for the folks outside. At times it was hard to hear what she was saying. And not everything was in English. So sometimes it was hard to follow. Other than that the trip was absolutely excellent.Highly recommend.

It ok. English announcements were very slow. Hardly you can understand why was she saying. I just enjoyed ride and I think 2hr trip should be of 3 hr with a liberty to tourists to go down in between w.g. Bopard and com back to boat at certain time. This would have been more satisfying.
