this was the perfect way to express the best snorkelling sites around Koh Tao. our guide recommended getting to Koh Nangyuan at opening time which meant we were there before the crowds that arrived as we we leaving. We were very lucky to see 2 turtles while snorkelling, and the marine life in general was amazing

See the highlights of Koh Tao on your traditional private longtail boat, captained by a Thai local guide.

At Koh Nang Yuan, swim and relax at its unique white sand beaches, or if you are feeling fit for a hike, walk up to the viewpoint at Nang Yuan overlooking the unusual island formation.

Koh Tao has a few of the most beautiful snorkel sites in Thailand, and with this tour, you can privately enjoy them. Snorkel with colorful fish and corals at Mango, Lighthouse, Hin Wong, and Leuk Bay.

At Shark Bay, you will have a chance to swim with harmless blacktip reef sharks and green turtles, if we are lucky enough to see them.

Know before you go

  • The hike up to Nang Yuan viewpoint is very steep with a lot of stairs and requires a good level of fitness, as well as the ability to climb on rocks
  • It is recommended to wear shoes for this part of the tour
  • The boats don't have fixed roofs so please bring a waterproof bag for protection
  • It is a flexible private tour, and possibly some spots cannot be visited if the customer decides to spend longer at other spots
  • Tour schedules might differ due to weather and sea conditions
  • The tour will continue in the rain if conditions are safe, and no refund will be granted
  • If conditions are determined to be unsafe, the tour will be canceled and rescheduled, or get a full refund
  • The local Thai captain speaks very basic English
  • Blacktip reef sharks and green turtle sightings are likely, but they cannot be guaranteed
  • In case the waves are too big at west side, we might have to leave from Hin Wong Bay at east side.

Absolutely amazing trip. it was essentially a private water taxi, we picked where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see, we got to do at least 6 stops along the way. What was meant to be a 5 hour trip ended up being 7 hours. And we saw turtles!!!
