The Knik River Valley is an off-roader's dream and is located just 45 minutes north of Anchorage. Ride halfway up the Knik River Trail, over silt dunes, through water crossings, and along forest trails. If the weather permits, you'll also see Knik Glacier in the distance. For your ride, choose a single-rider ATV or a 2-seat side-by-side (UTV). Embark on an adventure covering about 20 miles of trail. This tour is designed for people who want a spectacular ride, but don't have time to tackle the full trail. Head up Knik River Trail and take on the bumpy terrain of silt dunes, water crossings, and forest trails. All the while, marvel at spectacular views even of Knik Glacier in the distance.

Soar over Alaska on a spectacular helicopter ride above glaciers and icebergs. Search the skyline for moose, black bears, Dall sheep, and mountain goats. Land on a glacier snowfield and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers who live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dog sled ride through snow, surrounded by amazing scenery. Overboots so your shoes stay dry, extra jackets and warm gear can be provided. Stand on the runners and mush your own dog team, or sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. The length of this tour makes it perfect for any traveler. After the dogsled tour, meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, listen to stories about running sled dog races of over a 1,000 miles long, meet the puppies and take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the dog sled experience, take a helicopter ride over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses on your way back to the lodge.

Take a drive from Anchorage as you set out to explore the historic Musk Ox Farm nestled amongst the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains. Learn about the farm's 60-year legacy and discover more about the history of musk oxen, their sustainable domestication, and the benefits of musk ox farming in the region. Called Oomingmak or "bearded one" by the Inupiaq people in Arctic Alaska, this Ice Age mammal once roamed the earth alongside wooly mammoths and saber-toothed tigers. Today, the oxen are used to produce an annual harvest of qiviut, the finest wool in the world. At the end of your farm tour, hop back into the van and take the scenic road back to Downtown Anchorage. A light snack and a bottle of water will be provided.
