Belgrade: 3-Hour Serbian History Walking Tour

Belgrade: 3-Hour Serbian History Walking Tour

Since the time of Christ, Belgrade was always an important outpost on the border of two civilizations, nestled between the east and the west. Celts, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, Austro-Hungarians, Germans, and Russians have all fought and died to capture or liberate the "white city", leaving their bones to rest in this city. Many empires have collided there, and world history was shaped on the two mighty rivers. Following all of this dramatic history, Belgrade now proudly stands today as the Serbian capital. Prepare to be taken on a journey through time during which your guide will explain world politics, geography, and geopolitics. You can also get stuck into the grittier details of the Balkans which you may have been too afraid to ask about.

We've been on many walking tours around many different cities and this was one of the best. We think we were lucky to meet Davor who clearly has a passion for history and sharing it with tourists! Davor explained some elements of Belgrade's turbulent past while taking us to key landmarks. Davor also shared useful knowledge about great restaurants and museums. We felt like Davor gave us a personal tour and we are very grateful. Our Belgrade city break was much too short and we're glad we did this walking tour. The walking pace was relaxed and at 2.5 hours, it just seemed perfect. Hopefully, we'll be back again. We highly recommend this walking tour to anyone. Thank you very much Davor.

Extremely informative and our guide, Maria, was a font of knowledge and patiently answered all our questions. We were left with a more multi-layered and detailed understanding of Belgrade and Serbia as a whole. Thank you!

I had booked two spots but only myself could make it. Maria was my guide, she was an excellent guide and very informative especially to all my questions not just about Belgrade but to Serbia in general. Highly recommend.

Maria was perfect. Her knowledge and ability to articulate Serbian history was phenomenal. Truly enjoyed my experience

Informative about Belgrade and the Serbian history!! Nice stops along the way and some with beautiful views!
