Full description
Experience a light Japanese meal, fresh sweets, Japanese cookies and thick and thin tea. See the way of tea and learn how to greet or move in a traditional tearoom. To make the tea ceremony as authentic as possible for beginners, you will not only be observing the way of tea but also learning the order or the movement as a guest in the tearoom. The programs are not only prepared for foreign tourists. The Japanese also don't go to a very traditional tea ceremony without preparations, so it's the same as the tea ceremony classes for Japanese beginners. If you would like to experience a Japanese tea ceremony, this program will be taught by a tea master who has the qualification of Urasenke, one of the largest tea schools in Japan. If you'd like to wear a kimono during the experience, you can select it as an add-on during booking.
  • Japanese meal

  • 2 kinds of Japanese tea
  • Kimono to wear (if add-on selected)

Very informative and sympathetic tea ceremony with the green teens learn a lot about the tea culture of Japan. The thick matcha is delicious, if not for everyone, alternatively you can pour on the thin (normal) matcha and make yourself. The dinner was very varied and delicious! I can fully recommend the experience, go to the Kinkaku-Ji before.

Worth it!

Dinner and the tea ceremony was a good way to slow down after a few days in Tokyo. We had the place all to ourselves and took full advantage of the dining area upstairs. The ceremony was very informative. I’m now looking for a Matcha set for my home!
