Full description

Upon arrival, get changed into your school uniform (gakuran or sailor suit) and begin with homeroom class, led by a real homeroom teacher. Next, it's time for your Japanese language class. Learn how to do calligraphy on a hanetsuki paddle which you will be able to take home as a souvenir before you have a traditional school lunch. In the afternoon, you'll have social studies and physical education classes. Experience the Japanese sports festival Undokai and take part in ninja activities. Afterward, it's time for cleaning, a Japanese school custom. Graduate from the school and receive your diploma before you finish up the day with a traditional Japanese festival with games, food, and sake. 11:00 AM - Morning Homeroom 11:30 AM - Japanese Language(Caligraphy) 12:00 PM - School Lunch 13:00 PM - Social Studies(Cosplay) 14:00 PM - Physical Education(Undokai) 14:50 PM - Cleaning Time 15:20 PM - Graduation Ceremony 16:00 PM - Japanese Traditional Festival Please note that the schedule times are approximate and may change depending on the number of participants

I had so much fun acting like a student for a day in a Japanese school. We got to dress up in school uniforms, gym clothes and kimonos. Try calligraphy, learn history, compete in a tug of war and sport games, eat a curry lunch with pudding dessert, graduation ceremony, and play drums and shoot candy with a cork gun at a matsuri festival. The day that I attended it was raining, overcast and foggy, so instead of the cute, slice of life anime school experience in the photos, mine was more the haunted, eerie high school experience, especially when I saw a real cemetery behind the school. Thanks to Sensei Onishima, Sakura, and the other staff members for making such a memorable day. I can’t wait to bring friends and family to visit again.
