Following pickup from your accommodation, you'll head to the Materuni Village. Once there, take a short but challenging hike to the Materuni Falls where you can enjoy the beautiful views. Following that, visit a coffee farm to learn about how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed. You will then try your hand at roasting and preparing a fresh cup of raw and local coffee. Once your coffee-making experience has concluded, head to the Materuni village for a local lunch. You will then drive to a warm-water spring, which is one of the best places to swim in the area. At the conclusion of your experience, your friendly driver will return you back to your accommodation.

Take a day trip to mighty Mount Kilimanjaro on a guided journey to one of Tanzania’s most majestic sights. Follow your experienced guide up to Mandara Hut and enjoy the views from 2,700 meters above sea level. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the national park to meet your guide. At Marangu Gate your guide will give you a brief introduction before you enter the park. You’ll spend the rest of the morning trekking through the rainforest, giving ample opportunity to see monkeys and exotic birds. After 3 or 4 hours of trekking you’ll reach Mandara Hut for a well-earned rest and lunch. Take the time to learn more about the park and the wildlife from your guide as you enjoy sandwiches, fruit, groundnuts and juice. Following lunch, your guide will take you to the Maundi Crater, from where you can enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania and Kenya. From there you’ll take a leisurely 2-hour walk back down to Marangu Gate, where your transport will be waiting to return you to your hotel.

On this day we will pick you up around 9:30am and begin our journey to the Kikuletwa hotsprings. We will go through the sugarcane plantation which has more than hundred thousand acres of sugarcane and amazing nature around the area. Along the way you will see the masai villages and if lucky kilimanjaro is out its one of the best places to see the mountain. When you arrive at the hotsprings we will show you the best places to swim, swing and the history of the place and let you enjoy your swim while we organise your lunch. After visiting the waterfall, we'll head back to the village, where our car will be waiting to take us on a short 5-minute drive to a nearby coffee plantation. This adventure begins with a trip to Materuni Waterfall followed by a bean-to-cup coffee tour and a stop at the Chemka Hot Spring. It gives travellers the opportunity to experience both the natural beauty of Tanzania as well as some local traditions and culture. Your guide will drive you to Materuni -the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park- where the waterfall is located. At a height of 85m it is the tallest waterfall in the country’s northern region. From the village you will hike for about 40 minutes down to the waterfall where you can enjoy the cool water from Kilimanjaro mountain. On leaving the waterfall you will be taken to a nearby community to learn about Arabica coffee. You will then have guided instructions on how to prepare coffee manually, from scratch, using local utensils and techniques. After enjoying some freshly brewed organic coffee you will relax to a lunch of typical Tanzanian dishes. We then set off for our final stop, Chemka Hot spring. Here you can enjoy a relaxing swim in the natural pools before returning to Arusha for drop off at your specified locations.

After breakfast at 8:30 you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel east to the Arusha National Park. This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (50 km) as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for 1-day safaris or tours. Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4566m), the notably different coloured Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago! We will enjoy lunch at the Momela wildlife lodge and do an exciting morning game drive and afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Wildlife which could be seen include African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena. Late afternoon we depart for Arusha where we will end our safari adventure.You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our tour package services.

Beautiful hike through natural banana and coffee plantations to a waterfall worth seeing. During the hike, the guide explained the plants and animals along the way in detail. For example, we were able to observe a chameleon. Lunch and coffee were delicious and the manual coffee making very interesting.

We had a great day, Andrew, our guide was very good, the waterfalls were stunning, we were never in a rush from one point to another. The people on the materuni area were very welcoming, the food was very yummy. Thank you!!!
