Our guide, John Hess, was absolutely amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and personable with all of the guests. He was very safety conscience as we entered and exited the ocean and made sure everyone was comfortable with handling the boats. His keen eye spotted some other boats/kayaks hanging in a certain area, so we headed that direction. Shortly thereafter, after everyone else had moved along, a momma and baby humpback whale joined us! He explained they are usually gone by now and how special it was for them to be so close to us. We stopped paddling and just floated for a bit and both surfaced near just about every kayak, as if to say "hello". Their final surface was literally next to me and my fiancé - we could have reached out and touched them. They then set off with a final farewell of momma showing us her tail, as if she was waiving goodbye. It was nothing short of amazing! Oh, and we saw a couple of turtles at Turtle Town.

Our crew was great, they provided excellent gear and were very attentive. We went to turtle town first and had it basically to ourselves. Molokini Crater, to be honest is overrated, yes the visibility is great but for variety of fish there are better spots on the island. We got very lucky on our way back we saw some breaching whales. A great excursion Mahalo

Best whale watch ever- we found the last humpbacks in Maui that didn’t get the memo to be gone by April 15. Lots of surface action visible due to the expert maneuvers by Captain Kiwi. So glad Calypso was still running whale watching after most boats had stopped going out. Great service by the crew as well.

Great, unique experience with a really nice crew. We saw a lot of whales even though the season is almost over. Similar to the snorkeling tour from this provider, contrary to the description on Getyourguide, you had to register directly on the ship and not in the shop.

Everything was great. Staff friendly with great service. Food tasty and musician very talented Very windy but captain stayed close to shoreline to watch sunset. Also spotted mama whale with calf and watch them for quite a while
