The most significant landmark of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi is the Museum of Folk Architecture and Household Traditions in Middle Naddnipryanschina. On the 30 acres, you will find located 185 sights, including 104 monuments of folk architecture from the 17th and 19th-centuries, 20 yards of houses and outbuildings, 23 different settings and workshops, over 20,000 works of folk art and implements, household items collected in the forest steppe zone of Ukraine. The museums are surrounded by two beautiful manmade parks with thousands of trees and shrubs of carefully maintained gardens and yards. The museums present the architecture and traditions of Ukrainians from ancient times up to the 19th-century and includes smaller museums such as the Museum of Bread, Museum of Land Transportation, Museum of Rushnyks (Ukrainian Decorative Towels), Museum of Space Exploration, Museum of Postal Services, Museum of Beekeeping, Museum of Applied and Decorative Arts, Museum of Ukrainian Traditional Rituals, Museum of Archaeology, Museum of the Cossack Glory, Museum of Trypillya Culture and Museum of Ukrainian Traditional Dress, etc. You will also see the excavated ruins of buildings from the 10th and 11th-centuries, the Church of St. Michael (1646–66), Ascension Monastery (with the cathedral built in 1695–1700) and much more.
