Full description
Discover the opulence of the Mezhyhirya residence on a private guided tour. Once a state residence dating back to the Soviet era, the 140-hectare complex is now a museum featuring some of the most expensive items collected by its most recent resident, President Viktor Yanukovych.  Visit the famous “Honka”, the world’s largest wooden palace. Note the expensive materials used to decorate its interior. See many highly expensive items such as golden chandeliers, a music box that costs $0.5 million, a flower pot decorated with snakeskin, and a Steinway and Sons piano. See a restaurant in the replica of the Spanish galleon with gold leaves, marble, and crystal. Also visit the cryogenic sauna, an oxygen chamber, and an artificial salt cave in one of the most extravagant spas you are likely to see. Explore a museum of retro cars, Soviet limousines, and even military equipment.  On the grounds visit a pond with a variety of exotic fish and the zoo with exotic birds and animals including the American rhea, Australian emu, and kangaroo. There is also a training center for elite dogs including the Chinese mastiff, the most expensive dog breed in the world. See many exotic trees, bushes, and flowers.
