Meet your guide in Kiev, then relax on the 2-hour drive to Dytyatki Checkpoint, the main entry point to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. During the journey a documentary about the Chernobyl disaster will be shown, and you’ll make a short stop so that you can use the bathroom, and purchase coffee and snacks.  Once you pass the police checkpoint and enter the exclusion zone, visit Chernobyl town to see the evacuation memorial, the Lenin monument, the museum of robots, and more. Continue to the Chernobyl Power Plant. Explore the reactor blocks, cooling towers, the new sarcophagus over Reactor 4, and the Prometheus monument.  Head to the Red Forest viewpoint, then visit the ghost town of Prypiat. The guide was informative it she spoke too fast and kept repeating words mid sentence making it hard to follow. She also kept repeating the information over and over. The information was interesting but not very engaging. Other guides we overheard were more engaging and entertaining. I would recommend advising that long sleeves, long socks, and toilet paper are necessary not just suggested. Also Did not appreciate that we had to sign agreement to “rules” Before being told them. Then no rules were enforced at all. Also website discussed Covid protocols and none were followed.

Thank you for this very interesting trip. Of course the topic is disturbing and you are not supposed to smile throughout the tour, but it was still an amazing experience, which only got better because of our guide. He was a very profound English speaker and would discuss tour-relevant topics with us, even though it supposedly was his spare time in between spots.

My dream came true !!! Finally I had the chance to visit Chernobyl, Pripyat, Reactor 4 ( from outside ) and Duga. The tour guide, I think her name is Jenny, hope to write it right, explained us everything in details ! Of course, most of us we saw the Mini Serie before we came, at least to have an idea about it. She was very helpful, speaks Very Good English and answered all our questions. Unfortunately it is not possible to go inside the buildings in Pripyat anymore as they are old and the chances to collapse are high. We could still take pictures outside the windows, which was better than nothing. Jenny told us new things about the disaster and after the disaster which we couldn’t know them from movies or series. We decided to book only 1 day Tour but definitely we will come back and book a 2 days tour! Hope Jenny will be again our Tour Guide. I highly recommend to go and visit Chernobyl if you are interested in history and see with your own eyes how it is nowadays.
