On this full-day tour of the Holy Land, enjoy pick-up from your hotel in Tel Aviv in a comfortable air-conditioned coach and travel along highway no' 1 to Jerusalem. You’ll be accompanied throughout the day by a knowledgeable, professional guide. You’ll enjoy a panoramic overview from Mount Scopus, overlooking the new city of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount Esplanade of the old city. As you travel along the Kidron Valley, you’ll be able to take in views the Garden of Gethsemane as well as the walls of the city. On reaching the Armenian Quarter you'll enter the Western or Wailing Wall square via the local bazaar. See the Christian Quarter and the Stations of the Cross, also known as the Via Dolorosa. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, which is considered to be the site of the crucifixion of Jesus. You'll also walk along the 1700-year-old Byzantine Cardo, the main street, and see the renovated Jewish Quarter. Transfer to Bethlehem (Palestinian guide and vehicle). Bethlehem, meaning “City of Bread”, was the birthplace of Jesus according to Christian tradition. Your drive to Bethlehem takes you by way of Nativity Circle. Visit the Church of Nativity, and also the cave where Jesus was born. You’ll see Manger Square, where Jesus was placed after his birth. Before completing the tour, visit St' Catharine - a Roman Catholic Church. You’ll enjoy an overview of the Shepherd's Fields on the return drive to Tel Aviv.

Traveling through Jerusalem through the Kidron Valley, you will discover the old city walls, and take in views of the Garden of Gethsemane. Jerusalem is a Holy City of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, and your guide will take you to different neighborhoods that are important to each religion. In the Armenian Quarter, you will explore the bazaar leading to the Wailing Wall Square. In the Christian Quarter, you will view the Stations of the Cross, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which is considered to be the place where Jesus was crucified. Finally, you will walk along the Byzantine Cardo, a 1700-year-old street, to reach the restored Jewish Quarter. To continue your tour in Bethlehem, you will pass through a Palestinian border-crossing, and switch buses to continue your tour with a knowledgeable Palestinian guide. According to Christian tradition, Bethlehem was the birthplace of Jesus. Your guide will take you to see the Nativity Circle, and the Church of Nativity. From there, you will view the cave where it is believed Jesus was born, and Manger Square, where Jesus was placed after his birth. As your tour comes to a close, you will enjoy sweeping views of the Shepherd’s Fields on the way back to Jerusalem.

We’ll pick you up at your Tel Aviv hotel in the morning and drive you in an air-conditioned coach along Highway No. 1 towards Jerusalem. You’ll be accompanied by our professional guide throughout the tour. At Mount Scopus, one of the highest peaks in Jerusalem, we’ll stop so you can take in the panoramic overview. You’ll see the New City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount Esplanade of the Old City as well. Our route takes us along the Kidron Valley, from which point you’ll see the Garden of Gethsemane and the walls of the city. We’ll visit the Armenian Quarter stopping at the Western (Wailing) Wall Square. Soak up the magical atmosphere of this most sacred of cities, before descending through the Judean hills to the shore of the Dead Sea.  The drive to the Dead Sea is without a guide, but once you have arrived at the lowest place on earth, swim, float, or enjoy a mud-bath to benefit from the rich-minerals that the natural Dead Sea is renowned for. Transfer back to Tel Aviv for the end of your tour.

Your tour begins on the  Mount Scopus where you have a panoramic view across the holy city of Jerusalem. From this elevated point you will have the ancient Jewish cemetery beneath you and, beyond that, the Old City with the shining Dome of the Rock on Temple Mount. As you look down on the Old City, it is easy to imagine the Second Temple which once stood on Temple Mount and the bustling ancient city as it would have been almost 2000 years ago. Then you will take the winding road down to the Kidron Valley, with a view of the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. In the Valley you can see the ancient burial tombs of Absalom and Jehoshapat, BeneiHezir, and the tomb of Zechariah. You enter the Old City through the Zion Gate into the Armenian Quarter and continue on to the Byzantine Cardo. Today, after extensive excavations, specialty stores are open here where Crusader stores once stood. Going through the Jewish Quarter, you will reach the most holy site in the Jewish faith, the Western Wall. Here Jews from around the world come to pray and put prayer notes between the Wall's stones. This 2,000 year old wall was part of the outer supporting walls of the holy Second Temple which was destroyed in AD70. Continue on to the Via Dolorosa or the Way of Sorrows. Along the way you will pause at several Stations of the Cross and finally you will reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The basilica is constructed on the site where Jesus is believed to have been crucified and within the church is his burial tomb. The Byzantine church has been renovated, rebuilt, and expanded over the years; today it is a vast and ornate place of worship. To end your tour, take a walk through the busy markets of the Old City where you can buy unique souvenirs from the City of Gold.

After being picked up from Jerusalem, travel to Bethlehem where you will meet your guide before heading into the old city of Bethlehem. Enjoy a guided visit to the Church of the Nativity as well as the Cave of St. Jerome. Continue your tour with a visit to the Milk Grotto Church before riding to the city of the shepherds, Bayt Sahur. In Bayt Sahur visit the Chapel of the Shepherds Field before getting to visit an olive wood factory where you will see artisans crafting wooden sculptures. Continue your tour with a visit to Herodion National Park before visiting the Monastery of Saint Saba to end your tour of Bethlehem. 

Your guide will be waiting for you when you disembark from your cruise ship in Ashdod and the tour will begin with a pleasant drive to Jerusalem in a comfortable vehicle with A/C. At Mt. Scopus, the tour stops for a panoramic view across the city rooftops. Then drive towards the Old City passing biblical sites like the Garden of Gethsemane that stands on the Mount of Olives alongside the Church of All Nations. Also, spot the ancient Jewish tombs in Kidron Valley, and the Ophel Promenade as we drive parallel to the Old City walls. We enter the Old City on foot through one of the massive gates in the 16th-century walls and pass the Western Wall excavations as we walk towards the Western Wall. This sacred Jewish site is all that remains from the 2,000-year-old holy Jewish Temple that once stood on Temple Mount. In the Jewish Quarter, we see the Byzantine Cardo lined with columns, then we walk along a section of the Via Dolorosa, as Jesus did bearing his cross. The Via Dolorosa culminates at the Holy Sepulcher Church which was built in the 4th century to encompass Christ’s tomb and the site of the crucifixion at Golgotha (Calvary). The tour stops for a lunch break in the Old City and you have time to meander through one of the traditional markets. Leaving the Old City we can see Mount Zion as we drive towards the town where Christ was born. In Bethlehem, we tour the Nativity Church and see the Holy Grotto where the nativity took place. The tour ends with a drive back to Ashdod port where you can rejoin your cruise ship and continue to your next port of call.
