You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi at 6 a.m. for your road trip to the slopes of Mt. Kenya.
On the way through the central region of Kenya, we are driving through a landscape mostly characterized by small-scale farming. There is much to discover on the way.
Weather permitting you will be able to see the snowy peak of Mt. Kenya, on your way to Ol' Pejeta Conservancy. With a population of 140 individuals, it is the largest sanctuary for black rhinos in East and Central Africa.
We will arrive around 9 a.m. for our game drive to sample what Ol' Pejeta Conservancy can offer. With a bit of luck, you will be able to see the Big Five – Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Rhinos, and Leopards.
This private conservancy with its 360 km2 is located directly on the Equator. You will also have the opportunity to visit a sanctuary for rescued chimps from all over the world. Besides, Ol' Pejeta is also home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. We will have lunch at a luxury camp within the sanctuary where you will be able to observe wildlife coming to the waterhole on the campgrounds from your table while eating.
We will be back in Nairobi between 7 and 8 p.m.
