2 days 1 night saltlick safari from Diani/Mombasa

Day 1
You will be picked up from your beach hotel in the early morning hours between 6:00 am and 6:30 am and depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Upon arrival at Taita Hills, at around 11:00 am, you will have your first game drive searching for wildlife in the sanctuary until 1:30 pm when you will go for lunch at the Taita Hills Resort. After lunch, you will go to the Saltlick safari lodge, check in and relax for about 2 hours. In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive in the sanctuary searching for lions, elephants, ostriches, zebras and other wildlife, until sunset. Thereafter, you will come back to the saltlick safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

The Saltlick Safari lodge is memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavel sit on stilts over a series of water holes. These two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air-bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you will a panoramic view of the sanctuary; offering spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife.

Day 2
Wake up and Enjoy an early morning game drive in the sanctuary then come back for breakfast at the saltlick safari lodge. At around 10:00 am you will depart for Mombasa/diani, taking part in a small game drive on your way out of the sanctuary. You shall arrive in Mombasa/diani at around 3:30 pm and you will be dropped off at your beach hotel. This is the end of your safari.
