  • From London: Tour of Kent Coast and Canterbury

    1. From London: Tour of Kent Coast and Canterbury

Journey through the charming Kent countryside as you head to the first stop of the day, Canterbury. This historic city is known especially for its cathedral, one of the oldest churches in England. Take time to visit the cathedral and explore Canterbury city centre. Next, continue towards the coast, stopping at the pretty seaside town of Deal. Once the busiest port in England, it is now known for its cafe culture. Explore the charming high-street, enjoy sea-front views, and have lunch (not included). After lunch you will continue along the coast towards the famous White Cliffs of Dover. Take a walk along the cliff tops, enjoy spectacular views, and see the iconic Dover Castle, one of the most important forts in Britain. In the afternoon, travel through the lovely Kent countryside and see why this area is known as the "Garden of England". Pass through a hilly landscape comprising of orc...

Excellent driver who well guides you with enthusiasm and a good dose of entertainment while touring around, among one stop and the other. I did it alone and ended to join another traveller in exploring local spots as well as typical food and staff that we were good suggested. I kindly recommend it!

  • From Brighton: Seven Sisters and South Downs Tour

    2. From Brighton: Seven Sisters and South Downs Tour

Meet your friendly and local driver-guide at the Brighton pick-up point. This ancient landscape is characterized by the rolling chalk hills, created over thousands of years by farmers grazing their animals.  Stop at the eerily named Devil's Dyke with views of up to 30 miles across the lowland Weald. Learn how this landscape was created and see the unique Devil's Dyke, the largest dry valley in the UK. Head to Middle Farm, a traditional Sussex farm that has been in the same family for over 200 years, offering the largest selection of Sussex produce in its farm shop. Stop for 30 minutes to have a good look around and grab a snack. Continue to the Seven Sisters Country Park and the white cliffs, passing through old country lanes to see the mysterious and ancient Longman of Wilmington, a huge Neolithic carving on the side of the Downs. Walk to the top of England's highest chalk cliff, meas...

Lawrence was our guide for the day Monday 6th September 2021. It was a well organised tour, we had an unexpected heatwave and Lawrence had kindly cooler boxed up some bottles of water and was offering them out along with rushing back to the bus before us to turn the aircon on to cool the bus down which wass very consider and thoughtful. You were given adequate time at each view point to wander a little which was perfect as it didn't feel rushed at all. There was hand sanitiser in the van and Lawrence kept his mask on whilst inside so if you are worries in regards to Covid, I think they made you feel safe. Laurence was full of knowledge and was able to make us giggle. Would definitely recommend this tour. Oh and the cafe where you stop does have a vegan option if that is a concern for anybody and they sold vegan magnums at the other cafe where you stop off too. Thankyou so much for a lovely tour in a very scenic area. I was dropped near to where I was staying too. No complaints at all.

  • Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover, and Greenwich

    3. Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover, and Greenwich

You’ll depart from London in the morning on a drive to Leeds Castle, the former royal residence of 6 of England's medieval queens. The palace was transformed by Henry VIII, and became a retreat for the rich and powerful. Begin with a private viewing prior to the castle opening to the public. Explore the chapel, galleries, courtyards, and the banqueting hall. Afterwards, you’ll see the grounds that are home to wildfowl, black swans, and birds in the aviary. Next on your full-day tour is a scenic drive along the old coastal road to the famous white cliffs of Dover. Admire the historic port and its magnificent 12th-century castle. On a clear day there are views of France across the English Channel. After your Dover visit, experience the ancient city of Canterbury, the center of Christian worship for almost 1,700 years. Tour its greatest treasure, the Canterbury Cathedral, probably best k...

Not enough time at Canterbury Cathedral. Thought it was guided tour but it was not so no reason to not give us the tickets so we could spend as much time as we wanted inside the cathedral

Lawrence was informative, jovial, engaging, and adept at answering questions. With COVID measures, he had sanitizer, masks, reported he cleaned the van before/after the tour, and made people feel reassured on the tour. The sites we saw would not have come up in a guide book and the facts and information he provided made the experience that much better. I learned so much about the area! I would recommend this tour to others!

Lawrence is a knowledgeable person when it comes to weather and places around Brighton. Though the weather was unpredictable but the trip was amazing.

Glenn made this tour very enjoyable. His knowledge of history was outstanding and he explain things in such a way that anyone could understand.
