  • From Riga: Kemeri National Park Nature Trail

    2. From Riga: Kemeri National Park Nature Trail

Only a short drive from the center of Jurmala is Latvia's third largest national park, Kemeri National Park. This trail is perfect for nature-lovers and covers seven or eight total kilometers. You'll walk along a beautiful raised boardwalk, so you can easily observe the awe-inspiring landscape. The trail leads you to picturesque scenes and a viewing tower. The wooden footbridge gives you an easy and safe pathway into the amazing world of moss, bog pine trees, pools, dark ponds, cranberry bushes, and Labrador tea. On the way back, you can stop at Kemeri, a well-known mineral water resort since the 19th century. A nearby hotel is an architectural monument of interest too.

Such a wonderful way to get in touch with nature! The walk through the forested pathway was magical and the silence was absolute priceless to a city life person like me. Kemeri National Park is a must-visit - regardless of season. I am sure visitors to the park will be greeted and treated to an array of sights, colors and sound over the different seasons.

This was a wonderful Tour with an outstanding guide. Hiking to beautiful places. Having a great picknick. We got so much information on the country, its nature and culture and history. And even tips for our next days in Riga. In the end we could visit the new and very interesting Jurmala museum. A full day. We have got even more than promised. Highly recommended.

Perfect tour in a beautiful nature with a lovelz guide. Richards was open minded and shared a lot of knowledge, facts and tipps with us during this day trip! Perfect get away from the city that showed us a little more of the country than just Riga.

It was an autumn morning, the first snow fell and we thought, oh, what will happen to the hike ... and yet it was a wonderful experience in the middle of the moor, a great change from a city trip and really worth seeing.

The setting is magnificent. Much peace and tranquility. The indications of the guide have been great !!!
