At the start of this day trip to Kefalonia Island, you will be picked up from your resort and will be taken to the port in Zakynthos Town to board the boat. After the approximately one-hour ferry ride, the first stop on the island tour will be the monastery of St. Gerassimos, considered one of the most sacred pilgrimages in Kefalonia and situated under the imposing Mount Ainos. Next, the tour will head to the impressive Drogorati Cave, located outside of Sami, with its fine stalactites and stalagmites - experts estimate that the cave is about 150 million years old!
