Full description

Commence a scenic island drive through olive groves, vineyards, and thick cypress glades. Passing through Mount Aenos you will visit the Robola Winery and taste the famous Robola variety of wine. Visit Agios Gerasimos Monastery, the largest and the most important on the island of Kefalonia. Explore the Drogarati Cave, famous for its acoustics. Discover the geological phenomenon of the Melissani Lake in an underground cave. Leaving Melissani Lake, head towards the cosmopolitan village of Fiscardo, untouched after the great earthquake of 1953. En route on our way back, you’ll make a photo stop at Myrtos Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. What you will see: • Robola Winery – Visit inside, wine tasting • St. Gerasimos Monastery - Visit inside, guided tour • Drogarati Cave – Visit inside • Melissani Lake – Visit inside, boat ride • Fiscardo Village – Lunch break/ Free time • Photo-stop at Myrtos beach

What a magical day! It's a long day but so worth it! If you've been to Mexico and seen Cenotes, that is what the boat ride in the cave is like, it's very small, but gorgeous color of water! I had no idea we were going to stop at a church and see the relics of a Saint- that was very powerful! The drive is up very steep winding roads and I had all the confidence in the world our driver was being very safe. The views are stunning!! I really felt like I saw a majority of this magnificient island. It'd be great if paired with a day two of the eastern side of the island! I really appreciated that they were open to dropping me off 3 miles before my stop so I could take care of some business at the edge of town without having to walk back there! Excellent day!
