Maui: Rainforest Adventure to Hana with Photos

We will begin this adventure at Hookipa Beach where we will have the opportunity to see the Hawaiian green sea turtles some waves up to 40 feet high in the winter time and if we get lucky, we can see the rare Hawaiian monk seal. This first stop allows a restroom opportunity. We will be here for about 10 to 15 minutes. Our second stop takes us to the Keanae peninsula. This is the oldest community on the island of MAui dating back over 1000 years. They have been harvesting tarot here ever since people have been here. You can still see Terrill beds growing today. We will also have the opportunity to go to aunt Sandy’s for her famous banana bread. We also have the opportunity to explore the arboretum. Here is arboretum has been been here for 50 years and has the largest trees on the island of MAui.. Our next stop takes us to Pak Falls. You will have the opportunity to watch get in or for the adventurous. You may even jump in off of the waterfall here which is about 20 feet high. If you want to get wet, please bring clothes with you. there is a bathroom here to change into them. If you want to bring water shoes to get into the water that is an opportunity. The bottom is rough here so most people, barefoot find that they probably prefer to have a shoe on . On the way back, we will stop at our last stop at the Wailua Falls overlook here. We will have a chance to look down upon the other part of the Keanae peninsula and see the famous white church that is built out of coral. This is a great spot to grab some photos some days that you can see as many as six waterfalls at one time from this lookout. I have been doing tours for seven years in this area. I used to take 24 people at a time but now I just have you my group of six.
