Had a great time at the sanctuary. The staff were really welcoming and took lots of photos for us. We got to prepare food for the elephants and then feed them. Got to paint fridge magnets at the end as a souvenir and there was also an onsite shop to buy other souvenirs. Snacks and drinks were provided and there was a good selection. Will definitely return next time I’m in Phuket!!

All the staff were in such good spirits; it made the experience more comfortable! You could see how these beautiful animals are loved and cared for; truly inspiring work! I think after kissing the teenager I will have good luck for a while! LOL! Thank you for saving them and loving them. And thank you for teaching people some truths about these gentle creatures. Will definitely recommend!

Full description

Explore the Phuket Elephant Care sanctuary situated in a green forest area with a big natural lake on the island of Phuket. Start your adventure at the meeting point at Kathu or Naithon camp. Be welcomed by the friendly staff of Phuket Elephant Care who will welcome you with coffee and tea including bread and some snacks. Receive an introduction in advanced ECO tourism to prepare for your encounter. Then it is time to feed the elephants by hand with fresh seasonal fruits. You can also take a photo with these lovely creatures to create truly lasting memories. Finish your adventure as you paint your own small magnetic elephant which you can take home with you, together with a keychain as a souvenir. And to top it all off, enjoy some fresh fruit. Leave inspired and informed, having supported the elephants with maximum freedom to naturally roam, forage, bathe, and socialize at the Phuket Elephant Care sanctuary.

-prompt pick up -educational lesson about asian elephants and their conservation -chop some food for 5 minutes -walk over and feed any elephant you want with the proper technique shown to you -each elephant is accompanied by a trainner and not attached to anything -maybe 20-30 min on feeding then we ate watermelon and painted Very good and exactly what we paid for
