What to Expect
In the morning meet your guide at the hotel lobby and drive to Nagarkot. Drive following small and winding mountain highway for 1 hour. Reach Nagarkot view tower to witness beautiful landscape and Central Himalayan ranges. Spend your time at Nagarkot to admire natural beauty. Nagarkot commands one of the broadest views of the Himalayas in the Kathmandu Valley (8 out of the 13 Himalayan ranges of Nepal are here).
Thereafter, drive to Telkot (hike starting point) and start walking with your guide through forest and farmlands, bisecting many typical Nepalese villages. This trekking trail offers an excellent opportunity to witness the Nepalese rural lifestyle. Follow the downhill trail leading you to Chagunarayan Temple (3 hours walk).
Chagunarayan Temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples of Kathmandu Valley, and believed to have been constructed in the 4th century. Changu Narayan is the name of Vishnu. This temple is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, due to historic and artistic value.
If you do not want to walk between Telkot to Chagunarayan, then the option of driving is possible through highway covering Nagarkot and Chagunarayan temple.
Board your vehicle at Chagunarayan and drive back to Kathmandu. Drop off at your hotel.
