Overview
The new 9 day itinerary gives the taste of trekking through Nepalese villages in the lush Annapurna foothills. Our hike takes us no higher than 6,700 feet, yet the scenery is truly unbelievable: 26,000-foot Himalayan ice giants, and the snowy flanks.
What to Expect
Day 1 Arrival Kathmandu (1300m/4265ft)

Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this historic and vibrant city. Meals: none provided

Day 2 Acclimatize Kathmandu

After breakfast we depart the hotel for a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the "city of glory." We visit Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life, an area filled with old temples and historical significance with old glorious Newari architecture. Some of the sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap and Kumari Ghar; home to the Living Goddess. Afterwards we visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, said to be one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, which is majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. We proceed towards Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River. Later we visit Boudhanath, a Buddhist Stupa said to be one of the largest in the world. Meals: Breakfast, Welcome Dinner

Day 3 Fly to Pokhara (884m/2900ft)

After morning breakfast in the hotel, we take a 25 minute flight to Pokhara. The flight is quite scenic, offering wonderful views of the mountain ranges in whose foothills we will soon be trekking. Upon arrival, you will be on your own for the day. Meals: Breakfast

Day 4 Drive to Thumsikot; Trek to Nangidhar(1900m)

After a very exciting 3 hour drive in the rough roads, we will reach Thumsikot. Thumsikot is about 3 hours drive from Pokhara.The drive is a very exciting drive with rough roads and awesome beauties. Lunch is at Thumsikot. The flora and fauna that one gets to see is simply awesome. One can also enjoy the beautiful Begnas lakes and other seven lakes of the region. After the initial easy trek, it now will be a tough ascend for Nangidhar and Pakhrikot; beautiful Gurung villages lying at an altitude of 1900 meters. You can see the beautiful cultures and the lifestyles of the Serga. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 Nangidhar to Pasagaon (1650m)

The trek starts with several hours of hiking through jungles and beautiful waterfalls to a place called called Bagaicha where we will have lunch. After lunch we proceed to Pasagaun village. This village is cleaner compared to the Nangidhar and has good food. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 Pasagaon to Ghalegaon (1800)

The longest day of the trekking, it starts with a descending for about 3 hours and again ascended for another 2 and ½ hours. One can stop at Bhujung were we will have lunch. Bhujung, a compact and a densely populated village looks really attractive from the decent into the village. After Bhujung it is a straight walk to Ghalegaun Ghanpokhara for about 2 and ½ hours. This beautiful Gurung village, lying at an altitude of 2016m is simply awesome. One can enjoy the majestic mountain ranges from this place; the early morning sunrise is simply spectacular. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7 Ghalegaon (1800m) to Khudi (790m); Drive to Pokhara

The day's trek is simply downhill. One has to continuously down trek for almost four hours before one can stop, Lunch at Khudi. The trail passes through the beautiful forest, if you are lucky enough you will also get to see some of the local wildlife. This area holds a tremendous potential for bird watching. It really can be a birdwatcher's paradise. In the afternoon we drive back to Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 8 Drive back Kathmandu

After a short hike we cross a suspension bridge and then drive to Kathmandu. In the evening you will be invited to join a farwell dinner were we review the great photos and share experiences of the trip. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Farewell Dinner
