Full description
Meet at the Kapiti Boat Club and board the Kiwi Express, a purpose-built jet boat which will transfer you through the Kapiti Marine Reserve to Kapiti Island. Whilst enjoying this boat ride, you will receive a 20-minute presentation on the history, conservation, and the story of Ngati Toa Mana Whenua. Your guide will get you set up, after which is will be time to set off into the marine reserve to explore the bays and inlets. You can choose to paddle either north to the seal colony or south to Wharekauhau Bay and the southern islands. You will spend approximately 2 hours kayaking, which will leave you with another 2 hours on the island walking the tracks and enjoying the beach and wonderful nature of Kapiti Island.

You have not got time to kayak and walk to the top but you can walk to the bird feeder. A suggestion would be to include a snorkelling option. Not appropriate to ask young females if they "like a shag"!! It would be appropriate to include a Ngati Toa karakia before leaving the shore. It was a great trip.
