Kamakura Half Day Tour with a Local Expert Guide

We opted for the full day tour after initially booking the 1/2 day tour. Good call by Gabriel as leaving from Tokyo by train did not allow enough time to have a full experience. Juan, our guide, arrived at our hotel early and together we tailored a plan to visit the major sites, and then take the smaller train to Enoshima where we visited an onsen overlooking the sea to cap off the day. Communication was excellent and my only suggestion is when you book if you can schedule reserve seats on the train especially if you have a weekend trip. Each train we boarded was very crowded. Juan was a terrific guide, very knowledgeable about Japanese history and full of interesting facts about the Japanese culture. As an ex-pat from the West, his perspective was particularly compelling. On top of all of this, he was a lovely, open person whose concern for our enjoyment was much appreciated.

John was a really great guide- he was super engaging and was able to customize the tour as we went along based on our preferences. He also gave us some great recommendations for food and other sites to see on our trip to Japan. We are so happy with our experience!
