Begin your exciting coastal bike tour from our starting point, located very close to the Acropolis metro station. Get introduced to your tour leader and learn all the important safety rules before putting on your helmet and getting on your bike to start! Cycle towards the pictursque neighborhood of Plaka and check out the little souvenir shops aligned by the neoclassical buildings. Ride by the Greek and Roman Agoras on your way to the lovely and hip area of Thission where the ancient cemetery of Kerameikos is located. After completing your short introduction of the city center, get ready to follow the path towards the coastline. Follow the metropolitan bike lane to reach Stavros Niarchos cultural center, the home of the National Opera house and National Library. Don't miss the chance to capture beautiful photos in front of this architectural jewel of Athens before continuing your fun tour. Ride towards some of Athens' most beautiful and less visited by tourists neighborhoods such as Petralona, Kallithea and Moschato and enjoy beautiful views along the way. About half-way through the tour, and after having explored a big part of the city as well as the suburbs of Athens including many unseen highlights, you will have the chance to enjoy a well earned beach break by the sea. The bikelane ends at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, a modern building where the National Opera and National Library hosted. Next up, you will see the legendary Greek battleship 'Georgios Averof'. It's time for Flisvos marina, a cosy place where people like to enjoy relaxing at the front of luxurious yachts. From this point and on you will be cycling by the sea on the wide pavements of the waterfront part of Faliro. The route is flat and just a few kilometers away you’ll reach the destination: Kalamaki beach. It's time for a small break.
