Cruise from Kaiteriteri to Anchorage Bay and back on a scenic boat shuttle ride. When you arrive, take your time relaxing on the beach or choose between several short walks. Explore Anchorage Bay and see the DOC (Department of Conservation) Hut. Walk on the golden, sandy beach with its sheltered and calm waters, making it an ideal destination for families. After walking, swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing, board the boat shuttle to return to Kaiteriteri at 11:45 AM or 3:45 PM departure. You can also ask your captain if there are any more departure times that day. Walks you may wish to explore from Anchorage Bay include: • Te Pukatea Bay: 50 minutes return • Te Pukatea Bay via Pitt Head and panoramic viewpoints: 1.5-hour loop track • Cleopatra’s Pool (Torrent River): 2 hours return • Watering Cove: 50 minutes return • Astrolabe Lookout (turn right for 5 minutes at top of Watering Cove track): 30 minutes return

There are 3 tour options: Option A: Astrolabe Beaches and Bays Walking distance: 7 km Walking time: 2.5 hours Details: After a scenic cruise, you’ll be dropped off at Apple Tree Bay at noon for a walk to Anchorage Beach, with time to visit 5 different beaches along the way. There is also the option of adding the 1-hour Pitt Head loop track to Te Pukatea Beach. Pick-up in Anchorage at 15:45 or 17:00** Arrival in Kaiteriteri at 16:30 or 17:30** Option B: Forest and Swing Bridge Walking distance: 10.5 km Walking time: 4 hours Details: Following a scenic cruise, you'll be dropped off at Medlands Beach at 11:30 for an interesting walk to Anchorage Beach that includes the scenic highlights of the South Head lookout, the famous Falls River swing bridge and Cleopatra’s Pool. Pick-up in Anchorage at 15:45 or 17:00** Arrival in Kaiteriteri at 16:30 or 17:30** Option C: 5 Beaches Walking distance: 8.8 km Walking time: 3.5 hours Details: After a scenic cruise, you'll be dropped off at Awaroa at 11:00 and enjoy a walk that takes in 5 beaches between Awaroa and your pick-up point at Medlands Beach. This option also features the option of stopping at the Peppers Awaroa Lodge Café, where you can enjoy the excellent views and native forests as well as a waterfall and lagoon at Bark Bay. Note that a steep climb from Tonga Quarry requires a reasonable level of fitness. Perfect weather day. Saw Split Rock, fur seals and the final destination, Anchorage Day was SPECTACULAR. We stayed 3 hours. Opted out of the various bush walks as we had done several. Instead we walked along the long fine golden sandy beach. Barefeet. Needed that! Loved it

We're a young family with a 4 year old,friendly staff and we had a great day at Anchorage bay.Dont forget to bring your swimwear.highly recommended!happy new year!
