Full description

Enjoy a scenic flight from Kahului over the remote landscape of Maui with this guided helicopter tour. Your experience includes a 30-minute landing to explore the rainforest on foot.

Board the helicopter at the airport in Kahului and begin your tour of Maui. Fly along the island’s north coast and admire views of cliffs, forest, and cascading waterfalls. Soar above Paia, Hookipa, and Haiku as you listen to your guide’s commentary.

See aerial views of Peahi which is also known as Jaws, a famous surfing location. Fly over the Road to Hana and the iconic Jurassic Rock, to reach the landing-place deep in the Hawaiian rainforest.

Descend to the forest floor and visit a former taro plantation in the Wailua Valley, home to lush vegetation of banana and coconut palms. Enjoy your time exploring the rainforest floor, especially as it’s an area that is not the typical beaten track for tourists.

Return to the helicopter for the flight back to Kahului, where your experience ends.

Tone was the best Pilot and guide!! He is great at what he does and we felt like he cared about our experience! This excursion was the best - amazing views and the landing part way through was so cool! Thanks Maverick and Tone for a great experience!

Our helicopter ride to the rain forest was amazing! The views were spectacular! The helicopters do very well in high winds, so if you’re worried about that, don’t be! Our pilot/guide Rick was also very awesome. He offered to take pictures for us together on our honeymoon and was very knowledgeable about the history and land.

Prompt, professional and excellent copter ride along the coast and up into the rain forest. Pilot appeared engaged and knowledgeable and responded well to questions and observations (even circling the helicopter when someone saw a whale). Beautiful way to see the "harder to see" (e.g. private land) areas of Maui.
