Follow 2 streams through the lush rainforest of East Maui, passing 3 to 5 waterfalls. The falls range from 3 to 12 meters high, and you can even jump from rock ledges into some of the pools.

Refresh yourself with a dip in the cool waters, and enjoy a picnic lunch beside the majestic falls. Bottled water and snacks are included, as well as lunch.

As you continue on, admire local flora and fauna as you learn about the cultural significance of plants such as the ti leaf, bamboo, taro plant, and others from your experienced guide.

First and foremost- Be sure to have proper footwear for a muddy, slippery hike! I had water shoes on which worked well but you really need to be mindful of where you are walking. Nicole was our guide and she is extremely knowledgeable. She talked about everything we were seeing and doing really well. There was a very inquisitive 8 year old girl on our tour. Nicole was so good with her explaining every question asked and posing questions to the girl as well. I really enjoyed their interaction! My husband and I loved the tour. It was just enough without having to try and find our way along with all the other tourists in search of waterfalls on the road to Hana. Will definitely recommend this tour.

It was amazing to get private access to some of the waterfalls on the Road to Hana! They think of everything and have it all ready for you! Our guide Sara was so fantastic she was so knowledgeable and gave us the true Hawaiian rainforest experience! And she was willing to take photos for everyone. I would recommend this hike to anyone!

Definitely need the right shoes to get the most out of this excursion. Hope you are lucky enough to get Tim as your guide. He was exceptional for our tour. We learned so much about the forest and environment. We felt safe and comfortable jumping, which was something we never thought we would ever be able to do.
