What people are saying about Þjóðveldisbærinn Stöng
So, this was the only organized tour in Iceland that I booked and I'm so glad I did! Theo, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and funny. Absolutely hilarious in a non-obnoxious way. He showed us several filming locations and had photos to prove that he was, in fact an extra on the set for several seasons. He told us about the sets themselves, the animals used, and a lot about the production. We even got some gossip on some of the actors, who, I was so glad to find out, were all amazingly kind, and down to Earth people. I learned a lot about Iceland, it's history, and "killer sheep" that I would not have known otherwise. Also, I am a cop, so I'm particular about driving safety, wearing seat belts, etc. I was totally comfortable with the bus driver, who obviously had acquired some skills while driving the big bus down some narrow and winding roads. I was not nervous at all, and Theo made sure we all had seat belts on. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Theo is the man.
What an amazing adventure! You’ll see some dynamic scenery and learn about the Icelandic culture & history and how it influenced GoT storyline. If your a Crazy GoT fan you’ll be in Heaven!! If your not a fan or don’t even know the show, you’ll have a Wonderful time and be very happy with the tour. Well worth the time & money.
Since he played a part in the Game of Thrones, his knowledge & stories were so very interesting. I, along with my two sons, truly enjoyed every minute of the tour & would highly recommend it to anyone who are fans.
Loved seeing all the sites but the guide although knowledgable and the extra tips and photos were great , the sexual language and xenophobic conversations were most defiantly inappropriate and not appreciated .
We really enjoyed all of the extra fun facts Dee Dee had. The only recommendation I'd have is if she dressed up!
