Then, have a break to enjoy some warm lingonberry juice and some sweet snacks from the local bakery. Afterward, get back on the bus and drive back to Kiruna. Finally, get off the bus at your hotel to finish the experience.

Our tours starting point is in Poikkijärvi a village by Torneriver 15 km from Kiruna city. At the camp you will be equipped with high quality snowmobile gear aimed for snowmobiling adventures in the Arctic climate. Snowmobile gear: overall, shoes, gloves, facemask, helmets and wool socks. So you come with your own clothes and we will provide you with the extra top layer customized for the outdoors. When we are dressed and ready, we will go to the snowmobiles for safety instructions and educate you how to drive the snowmobile. Never driven a snowmobile before? -No problem! Everyone is a beginner the first time. Our experienced guide will teach you how to drive in a safe and fun way so we will have the best possible experience. At the end of the tour it will feel like its a peace of cake. As a driver for the snowmobile you need a valid driving licens for car in your country, as a passenger you only need to bring your camera to capture some of your moments on a photo. Okey, let the fun begin. We will go on tour that’s approx 32 km through the variety of the landscapes in the area on the river, lakes, forest and mountains. You will be in the winter wonderland. Far away from the light pollutions surrounding the town. The dark sky will increase your chances of seeing aurora borealis dancing in the sky. Halfway we will stop for a Swedish fika. Here is a good place to switch driver if you are going on a shared snowmobile. We will help you to immortalize your memorys with pictures, so you can return to this place when ever you want again. Back at the camp we changes clothes and the minibus will drive you back to your accommodation. (We can not guarantee that the northern light is visible because its a weather phenomenon beyond or control. But we can guarantee that we will do our best for you to have a wonderful experience anyway.)

Spend the day travelling by dog sled through the exciting wilderness, and stop at the wilderness camp for some Swedish Fika, get to know the sled dogs, and then travel back to the starting point. During the dog sledding adventure, your professional musher/guide will drive a sled that accommodates up to four guests. Having a professional musher drive the sled ensures the highest levels of safety for you, and allows healthy guests of nearly all levels of physical ability to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime dog sledding adventure. While your professional musher controls the team of dogs, you can sit back, relax, take lots of pictures, and enjoy every second of your time in the Arctic wilderness. Approximately halfway through the dog sledding adventure, we will stop at our remote Arctic wilderness camp where your guide will prepare a warm fire, piping hot drinks, and classic Swedish Fika. An example of what might be served is a warm cup of coffee or tea and steaming cinnamon rolls. Spend some quality one-on-one time with your dogs as they love to cuddle and enjoy a belly rub in exchange for providing you with the thrill of riding behind them in a classic dog sledding adventure. After you have had a chance to relax by the fire, we will hop back on the dog sled and continue with our 10 – 12 KM circuit.

Marvel at the amazing individually sculpted Art Suites, Ice Rooms and Ice Church whilst learning about how this one-of-a-kind hotel is designed and created each year . Finally head to the Ice Bar to enjoy one of the coolest drinks you will probably ever have! Following the tour you will have the chance to have lunch in the comfortable restaurant, take a coffee in the stylish bar or buy some souvenirs from your experience at this truly amazing hotel, before going back to Abisko and Björkliden. The Icehotel is in a small village called Jukkasjärvi which is located approximately fifteen minutes from the Kiruna Airport. Because of this close proximity to the Kiruna Airport, many of our guests choose to book this exciting daytrip on the final day of their trip to Abisko, essentially using the tour as an inexpensive and seamless way to enjoy a nice daytrip that takes them in the direction of the city and the airport. You are very welcome to bring your bags with you on this day trip and then catch a bus or taxi directly from the Icehotel to the Kiruna Airport or to another hotel in Kiruna. This strategy works particularly well for clients who fly to Stockholm on one of the afternoon departures from the Kiruna Airport. The winter hotel is constructed during the early winter and thus is usually finished in mid-December. Before this time you will still have access to the amazing ICEHOTEL 365 which allows guests to step inside a sparkling, subfreezing environment all year round thanks to new technology in combination with traditional building methods. Included within the ICEHOTEL 365 building is the Ice Bar which means you will have the chance to visit it in the early winter as well. Minimum age allowed for this activity is 5 years old. STARTING POINT We pick you up from any hotel in Abisko or Björkliden. PICK UP INFORMATION If you are staying in Abisko, please be ready for pick up at your hotel from 9:15 AM. Children get plenty of time to cuddle and to help with the dogs and you need not feel that you are in the way of other guests. You all share a big sled that is driven by the guide. It’s a great feeling to relax with the kids in the sled and enjoy the silence with them. After the tour, the dogs are given a massage, taken out of the harnesses, and retired to the kennels. Both adults and children will help. When we are done, we offer something warm to drink and some dog to cuddle with. We live outside the major tourist area’s with our 40 dogs, 3 cats and 3 children.
