Palm Springs Hike to an Oasis and Amazing Desert Views

Palm Springs Hike to an Oasis and Amazing Desert Views

Enjoy a guided loop hike on some of the best Palm Springs hiking trails on unnamed trails known mainly by locals, so not nearly as busy as the other easy-to-find hiking trails in Palm Springs. From these hills we'll have amazing views of the desert valley all the way up to the beautiful mountains that surround Palm Springs. I'll point out and talk about the plants and how the Cahuilla people used them for medicine. We'll stop and visit my favorite viewpoints along the way and enjoy some of the best views of the Coachella Valley, perfect for taking scenic pictures. We'll see the windmills, Joshua Tree National Park, the San Jacinto Mountains, Mt San Gorgonio (the tallest mtn. in So Cal at 11,503 ft.), Palm Springs and other desert cities that make up the Coachella Valley. Next, we'll head downhill into a small hidden Palm tree oasis that's in a canyon (not in Indian Canyons, but if you're interested in hiking Indian Canyons, contact me.) During the winter, the endangered Peninsular Bighorn Sheep come down to the desert from the mountains to give birth. Hopefully, we'll see some if you're here then; I've seen them here many times before.

I don’t want to sound flippant but when I say it was a life changing day, it truly was. Conan graciously made space for anything and everything to arise and to sit with it and not try to move it or hide it. There was such safety and comfort in his presence and such knowledge he shared, all which seems rare to find in our busy world and lives. The place itself of course packs an energetic punch but so does Conan in a laid back, unassuming way. Just book it! There is no way you could possibly walk away disappointed.

Great experience! We chose to do the self-guided tour and took our time to get out at each stop (there are (10) after listening to the audio. The app was very informative, not only providing the text to the audio, but also facts and figures. We spent two hours from start to finish and enjoyed learning about the industry”s evolution and growth. Worth the visit and definitely recommend either the self-guided or golf cart tour!

We really enjoyed our Tour with Frank. We explored several areas on foot, also did some gentle rock scrambling and walked nature trails. We were able to go at our own pace, and focus on things of particular interest to us-this was the special aspect of this tour-apart from the Park itself which is AMAZING!

We entered the Park at Cottonwood and we should have started at the West Entrance the tour would have made more sense. We figured it out and had a great time. Very informative.

spencer did an excellent job & we got 2 c so much!
