The Jinsha Site Museum was established in April 2007. It is a museum that carries the 3,000-year history of Chengdu. This is an archaeological museum built to protect, study and display the Jinsha culture and ancient Shu civilization. It covers an area of 300,000 square meters and has a total construction area of about 40,000 square meters. It is divided into the Relics Hall, Exhibition Hall, Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Center, Cultural Exchange Center, Garden Area and other parts. The collection of cultural relics is rich in variety and complete in system, and all have high historical, scientific, cultural and artistic value. The exhibition comprehensively displays the glory of the ancient Shu Jinsha Kingdom from multiple angles such as archaeological sites, ecological environment, production and life, religious sacrifices, and cultural background. The two main buildings of the Jinsha Site Museum, the Relics Hall and the Exhibition Hall, are located on the north and south banks of the Modi River respectively. They are one square and one round, and they complement each other with both rigidity and flexibility, becoming an important landmark building in Chengdu. The Relics Hall is located in the east of the museum and south of the Modi River. It is a semi-circular all-steel frame building with a slope shape, with a construction area of 7,588 square meters. The Relics Museum is the excavation site of the large-scale sacrificial activity site of the Jinsha Ruins. It is currently the most complete, longest-lasting, and richest sacrificial relics in China. The museum is mainly based on the original ecological protection display of the excavation site.
