Day 1: Fly from Addis Ababa to Jinka and continue on a 130 km drive to Turmi town via Jinka, Keyafer, Aldubba, and Dimeka towns. In the late afternoon, visit a Hamar tribe village and get a genuine experience with the Hamar people. Day 2: Drive 75 km south to Omo Rate town on an asphalt road to visit the Dassanech tribe who live by the Omo River. After having a genuine interaction with the Dassanech tribe, return to Turmi for lunch. You may visit the Hamar tribal market on market days. Day 3: Drive to Korcho village of the Kara (Karo) tribe. Meet with the Kara people in their village on the shore of the Omo River. The Kara or Karo is the least populous ethnic group in the Omo Valley region. They are famous for elaborate facial and body paintings. Return to Turmi for lunch and proceed to Jinka town. Day 4: Depart early on a 50 km drive to visit the Mursi tribe whose women wear a lip plate. The Mursi tribe is a nomadic agro-pastoral community that moves from place to place within their territory in search of fresh pasture and farming grounds. After genuinely interacting with the Mursi people, head back to Jinka. Continue to Jinka Airport and fly to Addis Ababa in the afternoon.

day 01: arrival – sightseeing addis (the new flower) you will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. refresh and begin your sightseeing of addis descend down and drive to national museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of ‘lucy’ fossil. visit and proceed to the holy trinity built during the wwii. then proceed to ethnographic museum, which use to be the palace of emperor hailesellase. to wrap up you drive to merkato, the biggest market in east africa. overnight triple-e hotel & spa in addis day 02: addis ababa – tiya-arba minch after having your early breakfast driving to the southern parts of ethiopia on the way we will see the tiya, classified by unesco as a world heritage site, where we can see the northernmost example of a peculiar type of engraved, standing stelae which stretch across parts of southern ethiopia.we will continue our driving to the town of welayta for lunch stop then after lunch we will be driving to arba minch for overnight stay. overnight paradise lodge in arba minch day 03: arba minch- chencha dorze villages after breakfast you will take a boat trip in lake lake chamo, to visit the crocodile market, it is a local name for a place in lake chamo that the crocodiles went out of the lake and chill, there is no buying or selling, also you will see hippos and different kinds of birds later driving to the dorzy village, this people set high up in the gughe mountains where we see the traditional dorze beehive shaped huts recognized as one of the visually attractive structural houses by the unesco and later we will be back to arba minch for lunch then we will be driving to the town of konso. overnight kanta lodge in konso day 04: konso – turmi after having your breakfast you will have a chance of seeing the konso village, one of the unesco site in ethiopia know by their terracing. one of the best types of coffee for the country is also from this village. proceed to the bana village. the bana who are indigenous pastoral and semi-nomadic people living in the harsh environment of lower omo valley. the men often have their hair dressed up with a colorful clay cap that is decorated with feathers. then proceed to the turmi where the hamer people live. overnight emerland lodge in turmi day 05: turmi- omorate (75kms 2hrs drive) after having your breakfast, you will have an excursion to omorate to visit the dassanech people ‘people of the delta’, who lives on the northern shore of lake turkana. visit and drive back to turmi for lunch then drive to jinka. overnight jinka resort in jinka day 06: drive jinka – mago – jinka – addis ababa take a day excursion to mursi tribes are one of the exotic ethnic groups in ethiopia. they live in very low huts made of straw leaves. the women like to wear terra cotta on their enormously stretched lower lips and ear lobes. drive back to jinka for lunch. drive to the ari people, the largest population in the lower omo valley.

The Mursi are a distinctive group of pastoralists, best known for their unique item of decoration — lip plates. Women of Mursi wear circular clay plates on their lower lip. Day 2: After an early breakfast, drive to Turmi, visiting the Karo village of Korcho on the way, with a stunning location overlooking the Omo River. The Karo people, who are the smallest in number tribe of the Omo Valley, are known to be the most decorated. In the afternoon, visit the colorful weekly market of the Hammer tribe. Day 3: In the cool morning, drive to Omorate to visit the Desanech (Geleb) tribal village after crossing the Omo River by boat. The Desanech are nomadic pastoralists found across the western bank of the Omo River south of Lake Turkana very close to the Kenyan border. In the afternoon, drive to a Hamer Village. The Hamer displays an elaborate and diverse selection of body decorations. They are also identifiable for their high cheekbones and elaborate custom of beads, cowries, leather, and thick copper necklaces. Day 4: Early in the morning, drive passed the wonderful African landscapes, seeing the daily life of these unique communities passing by on the way back to the airport of Jinka for your flight to Addis Ababa. In the evening before departure, be invited to a farewell dinner at one of the best traditional restaurants in Addis where you taste a variety of Ethiopian meals and watch the folkloric dancers of the Ethiopian people. Then transfer to Bole, Addis Ababa airport for the flight back home. Day 1. Monday, Flight Addis Ababa- Jinka-Mago-Turmi 07:15 AM morning flight from Addis Ababa to Jinkà. Meet up with #primeEthiopiaTours Tour Guide, Casa and driver/s who will be waiting for you at the parking lot. Jump into your Landcruiser and get on the road for your excursion to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe. Whose women are known for leap stretching with circular plates. Revert to Jinka and drive to Turmi. Once in Turmi, explore and absorb an authentic tribal open market of the nomadic Hamar, who share similar cultural traditions with its close ancestor, the Bana tribe. Day 2. Tuesday, Excursion to Karo (Korcho)-Nyghatom Villages Wake up early in the morning and drive to Karo village, Korcho. Karo tribe are well famous for their attention to appearance that’s Body-painting. A beautification of their faces and bodies with kneaded coloured Ochre, white chalk and yellow mineral rocks. Without wasting time drive to Nyangatom Tribal village, kakuta. Here, we will have opportunities to photograph the tribespeople and cruise back to Turmi. Day 3. Wednesday, Turmi-Arbore-Turmi Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and then make a short excursion to Arbore. The Arbore tribe, just like their neighbouring counterparts in this area, have their own distinctive features. Arbore girls, for example, traditionally shave their heads to distinguish themselves from married women. They wear dark robes and are adorned with colourful beads. Revert back to Turmi. In Turmi, If fortunate we would Witness a Bull jumping ceremony. Day 4. Thursday, Drive Omorate -Keyafer-Konso In the morning, after breakfast, get in the car and dash away to Omorate. Here, explore one of the scattered villages of the Dasanech tribe by crossing the Omo River with an improvised flat-bottomed wooden boat. After Dasanech, revert back to Turmi and continue our drive on an 85 km rough road to Keyafer town. Here in Keyafer town, you will witness a fairly diverse open-air market dominated by Bana(bane), Aari, Tsemay tribe’s traders, merchants from Jinka and other neighbouring towns. Settle for lunch and, soon after, continue our drive to Konso. Day 5. Friday, Dorze Village-Flight Arbaminch-Addis Ababa In the morning, after breakfast, we start our visit to a Konso village. The Konso people are an ethnic group who are revered for their landscaping tradition of terracing and housing style. A centuries-old engineering mastery that has become the way of life. An adaptation to an unfavourable rocky environment and steep terrain. Visit one of the villages, Gamole, to find out and learn more about their authenticities. Drive to Arbaminch. Once in Arbaminch, sit for lunch. Shortly after, drive uphill to the Dorze tribe’s village. The Dorze people are pretty famous for their tradition of weaving, for their beehive-shaped houses with the front mimicking an elephant. Take a 17:15 pm flight to Addis Ababa. END OF THE Tour

The Karoos are agro-pastoralists and considered to be the master of body painters. On the way we will attend Saturday Dimeka market of biggest Hamar tribe market and visit the special and colour full market per week ones! More than 5 tribes(Hamar,banna,karo,dassench,tsemay) tribes come on this colour full and biggest market day in omo valley to buy and sell there products and cuttles. Overnight Jinka Day3,Morning after breakfast excursion to a Mursi village (approx 66km from Jinka).They live in the mago national park. You will be able to meet the Mursi. They are renowned for wearing large lip plates!! and ear lobe plates. Mursi men drink blood more than eating meat,because they dont need to kill their cow to harvest the blood. They take blood from the cow, by making a hole in the vane with a small arrow, then they stop the blood from running with their traditional medicine! The cows wound heals very fast! You will see when mursi man take his breakfast from his own cow.

In the evening, we'll visit the Hamer tribe to witness their bull-jumping ritual and Evangadi cultural dances at sunset. Day 3: From Turmi drive bqck to Jinka for a flight bqck to Addis abeba On the final day, depending on your flight schedule be cause of the limited flight scadule in jinka town, there is just one flight / a day either in the morning or the afternoon around 1 Pm. See some other tribes on the way or Market Visits and Return to Jinka ,we'll visit either the Demeka or Keyafer market for a last-minute immersion in local culture.
