Day 2: Drive 75 km south to Omo Rate town on an asphalt road to visit the Dassanech tribe who live by the Omo River. Day 4: Depart early on a 50 km drive to visit the Mursi tribe whose women wear a lip plate. The Mursi tribe is a nomadic agro-pastoral community that moves from place to place within their territory in search of fresh pasture and farming grounds. After genuinely interacting with the Mursi people, head back to Jinka. Continue to Jinka Airport and fly to Addis Ababa in the afternoon.

Day 1. Monday, Flight Addis Ababa- Jinka-Mago-Turmi 07:15 AM morning flight from Addis Ababa to Jinkà. Meet up with #primeEthiopiaTours Tour Guide, Casa and driver/s who will be waiting for you at the parking lot. Jump into your Landcruiser and get on the road for your excursion to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe. Whose women are known for leap stretching with circular plates. Revert to Jinka and drive to Turmi. Once in Turmi, explore and absorb an authentic tribal open market of the nomadic Hamar, who share similar cultural traditions with its close ancestor, the Bana tribe. Day 2. Tuesday, Excursion to Karo (Korcho)-Nyghatom Villages Wake up early in the morning and drive to Karo village, Korcho. Karo tribe are well famous for their attention to appearance that’s Body-painting. A beautification of their faces and bodies with kneaded coloured Ochre, white chalk and yellow mineral rocks. Without wasting time drive to Nyangatom Tribal village, kakuta. Here, we will have opportunities to photograph the tribespeople and cruise back to Turmi. Day 3. Wednesday, Turmi-Arbore-Turmi Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and then make a short excursion to Arbore. The Arbore tribe, just like their neighbouring counterparts in this area, have their own distinctive features. Arbore girls, for example, traditionally shave their heads to distinguish themselves from married women. They wear dark robes and are adorned with colourful beads. Revert back to Turmi. In Turmi, If fortunate we would Witness a Bull jumping ceremony. Day 4. Thursday, Drive Omorate -Keyafer-Konso In the morning, after breakfast, get in the car and dash away to Omorate. Here, explore one of the scattered villages of the Dasanech tribe by crossing the Omo River with an improvised flat-bottomed wooden boat. After Dasanech, revert back to Turmi and continue our drive on an 85 km rough road to Keyafer town. Here in Keyafer town, you will witness a fairly diverse open-air market dominated by Bana(bane), Aari, Tsemay tribe’s traders, merchants from Jinka and other neighbouring towns. Settle for lunch and, soon after, continue our drive to Konso. Day 5. Friday, Dorze Village-Flight Arbaminch-Addis Ababa In the morning, after breakfast, we start our visit to a Konso village. The Konso people are an ethnic group who are revered for their landscaping tradition of terracing and housing style. A centuries-old engineering mastery that has become the way of life. An adaptation to an unfavourable rocky environment and steep terrain. Visit one of the villages, Gamole, to find out and learn more about their authenticities. Drive to Arbaminch. Once in Arbaminch, sit for lunch. Shortly after, drive uphill to the Dorze tribe’s village. They take blood from the cow, by making a hole in the vane with a small arrow, then they stop the blood from running with their traditional medicine! The cows wound heals very fast!
