Bali Sunset: Uluwatu Temple, Kecak Dance and Jimbaran Bay

1. Bali Sunset: Uluwatu Temple, Kecak Dance and Jimbaran Bay

Experience the best sundown spot in Bali on a visit to Uluwatu Temple, a Balinese temple to the sea gods with a commanding view of the Indian Ocean. Part of a series of temples built to protect the island from evil spirits, today its cliffside location is home to a family of friendly monkeys. Once night falls and you have seen the colors of the sunset, experience one of the island's most famous cultural performances at a "kecak" fire dance. Watch the locals act out a scene from the Ramayana with a mesmerizing trance chant, exciting performances of fire dances, and intricate costumes. Then, get the option to enjoy dinner at a seafood restaurant serving delicious barbecue food in Jimbaran Bay. Sink your feet in the sand as you dine and relax at the end of an unforgettable day!

This is a must for me for all tourists in Bali. The temple is unique with monkeys roaming around. They are safe. Watching the Kecak Dance with the Bali Sunset at the background is such a sight to behold; considering that the dance is about a love story. It made it more romantic <3 I can't provide a review about the Jimbaran Bay because we left hurriedly for a dinner appointment but our guide, Gede. Gede, our guide, has been very accommodating. He is able to provide us with answers to our inquiries regarding the Balinese history and its people, the culture, places, etc. Gede is also very patient and kind. He made our trip really worthwhile!

This was a wonderful evening. Even though we had a little rain, the show went ahead as planned. Our driver Edi was excellent. He arranged a little stop on the way and got us there in plenty of time to see the temple and cliffs. Edi explained the dance which is good to know before you see it. Afterwards we enjoyed a great seafood dinner on the beach where Edi helped us with the ordering and selection. A memorable evening.

10/10 experience, temples were beautiful, hanging on the edge of Uluwatu overlooking the never ending Indian Ocean. Breathtaking. And our guide was amazing with our phone cameras taking really nice instaworthy pictures. He was also helpful and informative about our trip. I recommend this activity to anyone in Bali, a must see experience.
