This half-day tour explores the most holy of cities, Jerusalem. The spiritual sanctuary to the 3 great religions of the Western world - Judaism, Christianity and Islam – it dates back over 4 millennia. The Old City is packed with sites that draw visitors, regardless of their spiritual leanings.
This half-day tour will expose you to some of its highlights and holy places, and includes an immediate return to Tel Aviv or Ben Gurion Airport if you have an onward flight.
Following a morning pick-up from your hotel in Tel Aviv you will drive along Highway No. 1 towards Jerusalem. Once in the Holy City, start at Mount Scopus, one of the highest points where you can enjoy a panoramic overview to get your bearings.
Look out over Jerusalem new city and the Temple Mount Esplanade of the Old City. Travel along the Kidron Valley to see the Garden of Gethsemane and the walls of the Old City. You will enter via the Armenian Quarter at The Western (Wailing) Wall and continue through the Bazaar to the Christian Quarter.
As you tour you will see sites such as the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the site of the crucifixion of Christ. Walk along the 1,700-year-old Byzantine Cardo, the main street of the renovated Jewish Quarter.
You will return to Tel Aviv for a drop-off at your hotel, or if you have a flight to catch, Ben Gurion Airport. We will drop you off at approximately 13:00, just in time for lunch!
