We had the absolute greatest time during our half-day tour to Bethlehem. Elias and George were so friendly, easy to talk to, and knowledgable about the area. We were so fortunate to see the holy sites when very few tourists were visiting and Elias let us take as much time as we wanted at each, answering any questions we had about the history, Bethlehem, or Palestine in general. He never pressured us to buy anything even when we stopped at their olive wood factory store and he even bought us traditional Palestinian sweets from one of his favorite bakeries in Bethlehem. If you are looking for a welcoming, interesting, and highly enjoyable tour of one of the holiest cities in the world, I cannot recommend this tour or our guides, Elias and George, enough.

Full description

After meeting at the David Citadel Hotel, you will begin your 3 to 5-hour tour, depending on the season. You will explore some of the religious highlights of Bethlehem, including the Church of the Nativity, St. Catherine, and the Shepherds' Fields.

You will begin with the chance to visit the 1,500-year-old Church of Nativity where Jesus was born. From there you will enjoy beautiful views of the Old City of Bethlehem complete with the Manger Square. You will then take a ride through the city of Bethlehem and Beit Sahour passing by the main sites.

A special visit to the Milk Grotto is also available, as well as a tour to the Shepherd’s Field where the Angels first announced the birth of Jesus Christ.

  • We do not include a visit to the Birth Grotto unless you have booked the Small Group option, as waiting times typically range from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the season and make sure it is not on sunday morning and or holidays as the grotto will be usually closed
