You'll be guided though the sandy colored winding streets, steeped in history and bustling with activity. This tour takes you to the attractions most important for the history of Christianity and other religions.
You'll begin amidst picturesque olive groves with a dramatic panoramic overview of the new and old city of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, including the Temple Mount Esplanade of the old city. A short walk brings you to the Old City of Jerusalem and you will walk along the Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site of the crucifixion. Head towards the renovated Jewish Quarter walking through the Cardo, a 1,700 year-old ancient pathway constructed in Roman times.
From Jerusalem journey via the Nativity Circle and visit Bethlehem’s Manger Square, home to the Church of the Nativity, one of the world’s oldest churches still in use today. Admire the Roman style of the Basilica of the Nativity, constructed on the ruins of its predecessor in 565 AD.
Enter the Grotto of the Nativity, the cave underneath the Catholic Church of St. Catherine in which Jesus was born, containing a 14-pointed star of silver set into the floor. You'll see the Milk Grotto, hiding beneath a Franciscan chapel where Mary nursed her son while the family was taking refuge before their flight into Egypt.
Finally visit the special Church of the Shepherds’ Fields and gaze over the landscape.
