Full description
This full-day tour takes you to the gems of Israel’s western coast. Departing Jerusalem in an air-conditioned coach transfer to join the tour in Tel Aviv . Head up the coast, via Tel Aviv, to the ancient Roman capital of Caesarea. The splendid harbor is located about halfway between Haifa and Tel Aviv and has a long and extraordinary history. Developed from a modest Phoenician port by King Herod into one of the grandest cities of Palestine, it survived until the 13th-Century when the Baybars of Egypt destroyed it. The ruins are impressive and include a mighty aqueduct and one of the largest amphitheaters of the Roman era. Take a leisurely walking tour of the archaeological excavations before continuing up the coast to Haifa. Israel’s 3rd city boasts panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the city itself from one of its most significant sites, the Baha’i Gardens in the Baha’i World Center. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will have your photo opportunity and take in the view before proceeding to Rosh Hanikra. Explore the limestone grottoes of Rosh Hanikra on the border with Lebanon. View the beautiful white chalk cliffs facing the sea. continue to Acre at the northern extremity of Haifa Bay. One of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the Western Galilee, the city’s story is as fascinating as it is long, and you will have time to wander through streets that have seen the footfall of Greeks, Byzantines, Arab Crusaders, Ottomans and the British. The Old City is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts massive city walls, a charming port, an Oriental market and the glorious Jezzar Pasha Mosque, where a single hair from the prophet Mohammed’s beard is kept. You will return along the coast to your hotels.

This was a pretty good trip overall. The sites were absolutely beautiful and the lunch spot that we went to was pretty good. That being said though, we were running behind schedule, everything felt very rushed, and we spent more time at a copper store "shopping" in Akko then exploring. Would be nice to get some time to explore around the old city, walk along the walls instead of being stuck in a shop. The guide was knowledgeable. As a solo traveler, I felt pretty safe and for the value of the trip, I think it was worth it versus having to figure out transportation etc to each of these places alone.

Mu guide Gabriel was helpful all the time o has come extra arrangements to make and he assisted me every second. Interesting area of Israel not crowed to spend the day and beautiful also. I highly recommend Ben Harim tours. As female solo traveler I don’t think I would feel safe and taken cared of if I would have hired the company. Thanks for this amazing experience

I have purchased this tour as the best way for my family members to see 4 major sites within 1 full day of touring the Northern part of Israel. I have been to these sites multiple times, so it is fairly easy for me to compare experiences. Overall it was a good trip, but a number of issues made it less than perfect. 1) Scheduled pickup at 5.40AM in Jerusalem had 1 hour delay (completely unacceptable). 2) description of the tour says-"marvel Haifa Bahai", so visit to Bahai Gardens was expected. The tour description should state that NO Visit of the gardens included, just glancing through the gated area. I would not consider this tour without this visit. It is easy to get in to the gardens, did it multiple times. 3) Options for having a great meal in Akko are amazing, we had just such an average lunch. Would be better to get recommendations (or just ask Yelp) and had a great food on our own without group sitting, with better quality food, cheaper and less time spent.
