Full description
The Mile 5 trip is our most popular trip and the one with the longest season, early May-late September. We meet in the town of Jasper and transport you only 8 km south of town to the put in point. After suiting up in clean dry wetsuits and a safety talk it is off to the river. The section begins with about a 10-minute float. This allows the paddler time to feel comfortable in the raft, experience the river environment and take in the 360-degree Mountain View. After this short float the grade 2 rapids begin. Grade 2 is big enough to get everyone who wants to get wet, wet but it is unlikely anyone will go for an unexpected/unwanted swim. If you are brave enough there are place you can choose to go for a swim in the glacial water. After 4 or 5 sections of rapids the Miette River joins the Athabasca and the trip ends just around the corner at Old Fort Point. After getting out of your wet gear it is a 3 km drive back to town. All trips are in 8-person rafts with a licensed river guide.

Fantastic beginner run! My group loved it and next time we would do the class III rapids! Our guide AK was great and customer service was great as one of the people in my group wasn’t able to make it due to the weather. provided me with a refund and was very understanding! Excellent company to book with! Highly recommend this adventure if you’re in Jasper! Well worth your money! The staff are fantastic!

This was my first time going and I have to say it left me wanting more! We intended to go with a group of four but my boyfriend had hurt his back prior to our trip, the customer service was great and they were able to reimburse one of tickets as the three of us were still going. I’m glad we did! We had an amazing time and can not wait to go back the four of us! Everyone was so kind and genuine and it made the experience a million times better!

we went in the middle of May and the water levels were still low - we hit some rapids but were hoping for more. we had a raft to ourselves except for the tour guides, which was nice - as a family of 3. It was smooth sailing all the way
