After, embark on the grade 2 rapids which guarantee a splash without the likelihood of falling in. You can choose to swim in the glacial water if you feel brave enough. The word Sunwapta is a Stoney Indian word meaning turbulent waters. Our trip on the river lives up to the name. The Sunwapta is a narrow, steep, glacial feed river in the heart of Jasper National Park and is rated as an overall Grade 3. The Sunwapta is the only grade 3 whitewater offered in Jasper National Park. The river is glacial fed and as long as the weather is warm we can have great water up until closing. The river trip itself begins with a float where crews can practice their paddling technique before the show begins. Once the rapids start they just build and build until the Whopper soaks everyone just before the take out. Once the rapids start it is still important to look at the 360 degree Mountain Views. The river follows the jagged ridge of the Endless Chain. All trips are in 8 person-guided rafts.

A brilliant time with our very knowledgable guide, Ross. We were very fortunate and saw lots of wildlife, bears, marmots, elk, coyote, osprey and a bald eagle sat on its nest. As the lake was still frozen and the trails were covered in ice and snow, we had a hike around the canyon instead. A great tour, would highly recommend it.

The staff was very helpful with the tickets off Mt phone and very friendly throughout our adventure. They were also shoveling the boardwalk also making our way safe. Clean, friendly environment. 2nd time for me, first for my husband and we will always make it a point to come back.

It was an incredibly great experience and we enjoyed every second of our helicopter flight! All of the Remote Helicopters staff were very nice and knowledgeable. We felt very well cared for! Highly recommend booking a flight with this company.

It was pretty exciting but a little bit scary how high you were. The top looked like a base straight out so Star Wars.

Great staff, great experience! Would definitely recommend
