Full description
After being picked up in mid-afternoon from your hotel in Jaisalmer, the airport, railway station or the bus station, you will proceed to the Sam Sand Dunes and Khuri Sand Dunes located 45 kilometers from the city. Once here, you will head out for your camel safari adventure across the Thar Desert. The major attraction for tourists visiting Sam is this native experience of the camel safari, one of the most spectacular and unique ways to experience Rajasthan. Camels are the "ships of the desert", and will guide you through this vibrant landscape. This so-called camel safari in the dunes turned out to be a huge hoax. A driver came to pick us up at the hotel to do 40kms and bring us to a place where the dunes of the desert begin ... but where the tourists mostly congregate, the so-called tents in the desert (crowded together ..) The camel safari lasted 15 minutes while climbing a small dune. Truthful !! Completely anonymous welcome (no presence of the tour operator on site). They wanted to plant us 1h30 on the dune in the middle of all the tourists to wait for the sunset, which we refused. The continuation (Indian dances & meals in the so-called desert ..) was being prepared in the middle of the camp of tourist tents. We asked to return to the hotel to avoid this masquerade .. excursion absolutely not recommended !!!
